It is irrelevant which side is right or wrong about Dorje Shugden's origin. The issue here is religious freedom and upholding the democratic system. There is no place in today's democratic society for banning religious practice of any kind. In the West Satanism and Occult are even practiced. But so as long as the participants don't break the law then everything is fine. The Dalai can't preach democracy in Europe and then ban Shugden practice on his own people. You can arrest Shugden practitioners who break the law, but not those who don't. What they worship at home is their business. That's their religious freedom.

It's not merely some secluded practise but a very active cult which has carried out ritualistic killings.Speaking of the west,murderous cults such as the Jonestown one are discouraged severely.HH hasn't put these people in any jail and even adviced people to treat them with kindness.

Yangden Rinpoche has done the most incredible work. His explanation is crystal-clear, logical, convincing, and above all, based on a thorough study on the subject of Shugden history, back up it with facts and figures. Never ever occur in my mind that there would be a young, handsome, simple and very educated lama who would come forward with his own appraisal on the authenticity of Tulku Dakpa Gyaltsen as the reincarnation of Tulku Gelek Palsang and his predecessor Penchen Sonam Dhakpa. There are many clear explanations on Shugden controversy by others, but this is a cut above the rest. 
Just 70 minutes of Panel discussion with Yangden Rinpoche is too short. I heard that there is a book on the subject written by him. I am dying to read it.
He gets 10 out of 10.

Yangden Rinpoche has done the most incredible work to stop religious freedom for the Tibetans. There are around 3000 gods in India and everybody has rights to practice their own deities. It may be monkey, rat, rock, moon, tree etc. but the Indian Government and leaders have no objections to stop people's rights. Dhogyal is nothing but it is a mystical believe that many Tibetans practice as their deity. But this is their rights to practice this religion. People who are trying to stop or stopping are also ignorant individuals who is riding in the same boat. Tibetan leaders do not dissect the issue more thoroughly on their own study but listened to one side and banned the freedom of religion. Tibetan religion is Lamaism, not Buddhism.

Jampa Gyaltsen Lhakal, First of all, Tibetan religion is not Buddhism, it is called Lamaism who practice to worship spirits, nagas, deities, reincarnations, demons, etc. HH Dalai Lama's youngest brother, Ngari Rinpoche is reincarnation of Dhogyal itself. Do your own study and research thoroughly. Are you against Dalai Lama's brother ? Majority of Tibetans are ignorant people who listen to one person always and never dissect what is true and false.

17the karmapa was recognised as reincarnation of 16th by situ and gyaltsab lontime before they approach HH dalai lama for his approval. now 2 question arise,1) Did HH just give approval without any investigation on his part, for political reasons? 2) eventhough situ already confirmed the reincarnation, still HH did his own investigation and then gave his approval? if yes to 1, the Hh has done great injustice to dalai lama institute and rest of kargyupas, if yes to 2, then Current karmapa gets more legitimacy. Similarly, if tulku dakpa gyalsten had been confirmed as reincarnation prior to approaching great panchen, and great panchen did his own investigation and gave his approval, doesnt it make tulku dakpa gyalsten more authentic? otherwise u are disparaging great panchen lobsang choekyi gyaltsen because he gave approval without any investigation and knowing that tulku dakpa would become a demon in future? How can great panchen let it happen. It was not 5th great dalai lama who hated tulku dakpa, but Deysi sangye gyatso( righthand man of dalai lama). Desi could have put those defaming verse against shugden. When tulku dakpa was about to die, HH 5th wanted to visit him, but stop by his attendents like desi, Why they stopped HH?

The XIV Dalai Lama, just like Lama Tsongkhapa, averts himself from heterosexuality and emphasize on the ascetic lifestyles of Buddhist monks and nuns which involves a practice of renunciation and/or abnegation of worldly pleasures based on individual practitioner's disillusion, in order to pursue individual Buddhist goal in one's whole life. The Dalai Lama is not happy with those Tibetan monks and nuns, who have affinity, befriend with and/or have become a proponent of cultural exchanging ideas in the globalized societies, which he believes as a distraction to the primary practice of refuge in the Buddha, dharma and sangha for the Buddhists. An attempt to magnify the history of 5th Dalai Lama was nothing but a piece of clown in the 21st century, especially when it comes to a question of a fresh and updated validity of one's cognition corresponding to the transcendental things at the present moment, so to speak.

6月2号开示；西藏有些修行人互相下詛咒，這沒什麼意義，應該把《入行論》經本放在前面，「今於怙主前，筵眾為上賓，宴饗成佛樂，普願皆歡喜。」其中根本沒有嗔怒之仇、傷害之魔，都是應一意慈愛、利益安樂者。有時我在想，關於雄登我以前曾宣告禁止，但思惟這偈頌，除了是悲憫處、一意修慈愛處，說是教法之敵，因著微小的原因，心稍疏遠，大致是錯了。所以，我們應思惟《入行論》所說，於一切有情修慈愛心，不僅此生，生生世世，尚未成佛之前，修菩提心。 上次已說過，閱讀《入行論》非常重要，《中論》、《入中論》這些論都非常重要。不能說這些大論不是在家男女該留意的、只是穿著僧衣纏裹披單的出家人修的，總之這些大論，不分僧俗男女，都應該要看。特別是這些論都講到內心深處。

Nothing amazing about this geshe, he had memorized all the quotations beforehand and recite like aparrot. The main thing is he has to establish shugden as harmful spirit and tulku dakpa gyaltsen as a fake incarnation of tulku gelek pelsang, beyond any reasable doubts. He miserable failed in this. His explanation lacks substantial evidence infront of un biased minded like us.

great 5th Dalai lama and other several prominent and highly realized Nyingma masters did wrathful fire puja to destroy shugden. question arise. 1) shugden was subdued and sent his consciousness to pure land? 2) he was not subdued and destroyed? if yes to 1, then how come in 1996 shugden harmed the Tibetan cause, how come non existence spirit can render harm. If yes to 2, then shugden must be enlightened being hence couldn't be subdued or destroyed, just as Ra lotsowa tried to destroy milerepa via fire puja but couldnt cause milerepa was already enlightened. Shugden harmed Tibetan cause or not, i dont know, but everybody knows who gave up " independence" the main cause of Tibetan. Haaaaa
