Like #4, Good morning Brian. Glad you put out a video supporting Rob @commentingcollector on this milestone, he's a great guy with an awesome channel. I know they are well loved cards, but I think it was just a figure of speech for the VR on his part. Great stories behind the cards, we all share our joy and memories of these beautiful trash-y (well loved) cards.....lol Great Drysdale's, Frank and Brooks Robinson, had both of these Brooks at one time and could have used the 1960 of mine for this VR. No longer have it though. If only I could go back in time, so I never got rid of any cards. I just miss them so much and seeing yours just makes me want to go out and get some of these beauty's back in to my collection 😁Enjoyed the Video. Brian, alls my Grandma would get me for Christmas was maybe a hat and scarf she had knitted. Which was sweet in its own way but not nearly as desirable as baseball cards! I’m so glad you still have those childhood cards- and the memories that go along with them. That DD rookie was a big boy card to have especially as a kid. Are you sure the book isn’t grossly overdue from the school library-lol. You had tastes in quality players that exceeded your age at the time, for sure. I’d buy that Frank Robinson for $1 every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Thanks for your kind words and participation. Good Luck in the drawing and Good collection!

That grandma I remember would only get me socks and underwear for Christmas, hahaha. She spoiled me with cards on my birthday or when I went to visit her throughout the year though. I'm thankful I have those cards from my childhood as well. I actually just picked up that copy of the book two months ago on eBay, lol. That would have been seriously overdue for sure, lol. I remember my grandma buying me Pete Rose and Willie Stargell cards as a little kid. Then when I was in middle school, the first vintage player I started buying with my own money was Johnny Bench until I got to HS. Then I switched and started collecting Don and Brooks freshman year. I remember having some of those dinosaur cards, but I don't recall how I got them. This is ironic. I just visited Grover Cleveland Alexander's gravesite and hometown this week. Cool you still have the Drysdale etc. cards from when you were a little shaver.
