Holy shoot, unpark would be starting FSD from in a parking spot, park would be the FSD drive would end in a parking spot and reverse would be whenever the car has to reverse whenever it needs to.

We were at the hospital for my wife's surgery (she's okay). In the recovery room, we mentioned Tesla. The nurse was interested. She asked if we had FSD, and if it could come to the front to pick us up. I asked her if she wanted to see it, and she was enthusiastic. Summoning the car went very well. (Live demos can be unpredictable.) She was quite impressed.

I bought a 2024 refreshed model 3 with FSD two months ago, now with version 12.5.6.3. I still find excuses and/or volunteer to go and sit behind the steering wheel and not drive but get chauffeured around. Can't wait for version 13. Hello, I have a model 3,y. I also have an Atom processor. In Korea, where FSD has not been officially released yet, I am actually very jealous of the FSD in the US. I have purchased both the EAP version and the FSD version, and I am experiencing a little autonomous driving on Korean highways. The software version is v12 (2024.32.7).

I have a refreshed M3 LR AWD I took delivery in March. I tried FSD when I first got my car it was unbearable to use literally every 30 sec I had to touch the steering wheel!!! Now I’m trying the free trial after the robo taxi event and FSD with using cabin camera is a game changer. Not once have I had to put my hands on the steering wheel it’s amazing. Watching videos of people doing smart summon doesn’t do it justice. When I tested it for myself in a parking lot with cars seeing it in real life will literally blow your mind!! The car will literally come to you with no driver WTF !!! That being said after my trial ends , I will miss it, but I won’t buy FSD. If it transferred with the owner and not the car I would definitely consider it but not for 8000 I would do it for 4000. I think 100 a month for subscription is too much I would do it for 50 a month. I enjoy your content. I love my Tesla, it literally puts a smile on my face every time I get to drive it. Phoenix AZ

I'd like to see more videos of riding in the back seat, sleeping, or locking yourself in the trunk and navigation through the app. Also, how easy it is to sleep with sunglasses. The green light slowing is new, and annoying. It happens a lot at certain times, and never at other times. One time the sun was behind me, so I'm thinking it's lighting related. Once, it ran a red light, slightly. AI 3 FSD 12.5.4.2

I have HW3 and am using 12.5.4.2. The biggest problem remains the planning horizon. It will still make a right lane change when a left turn is coming up, not realizing that the left lane is going slow because people are waiting for the turn. There are other annoyances, too. Such as not being able to detect speedbumps despite visible signs. Both appear to be issues with the AI model and potentially processing power, not camera resolution. The issues related to camera resolution seem to be the hesitancy at entering intersections with cross traffic, if it cannot tell if it is a car coming or bird (or something).

I have HW3, 12.5.4.2 is not a good release for me as well. Had to disengaged as it attempted to go on opposite direction on double solid yellow line . Pick lane with long lines of cars verses go into lane with less car and faster. slows down and stays in other cars blind spot. I don't understand..so random. I'm tempted to switch to basic cruise at least until another hopefully better release.

Love your content!! Thank you for your in depth videos! Mostly because I also have HW3 and I love watching your content because it relates to me. I am currently running FSD v12.5.4.2 on my 2022 M3. FSD came with my car when I purchased it from Tesla’s used inventory. Which brings up an interesting question. If FSD upgrade comes to those who have purchased FSD, will I be included seeing as I didn’t technically purchase FSD myself? Time will tell! I’m excited for future updates even if it takes a bit longer to get than those on HW4. Keep the content coming!

I've a September 2019 M3 purchased with FSD. Still picks wrong lanes in many places & takes exits from interstate & highways when navigation is straight ahead. Also lane changes unnecessarily even with only-necessary-lane-changes set (each time). So it's still missing many of the basics to go anywhere. Usually can't make it 2 miles from home without disengagement.

2018 M3 HW3. Have had FSD for 3 years and have to say it’s 1000 times better than my initial experience. City driving is almost done. Freeway needs work as there is no lane discipline in the States. Europe should have little autobahn issues.

was wondering, why not Tesla put camera on both A pillars so that it can see when at the junction without creeping out? as sometimes there are obstacle at the roadside; the 3 cameras at the front couldnt properly see it

Feel the issue with FSD is the hesistation relative to a human. Also, it has this weird braking(sometimes), while crossing intersections. Feel it is a limitation of insufficient camera coverage, coupled with the latency preventing faster tesponse. Also I am not a fan of the jerky multi-step steering on turns. It is getting better for a L3 self driving.❤👍

Curios to know what you do or mean when you say, "I'm going to report that". I only know of the little pop-up window that appears when you turn off FSD and it asks, "You turned off FSD, what was wrong?" and then you can press/hold the right wheel to send a comment to Tesla. The latest FSD software requires 100 percent human supervision. It cannot even go for 1 hour in a busy big city without human intervention. Full autonomy is still a long ways off. A human can drive every day for years without an accident or incident. Human brain is light years beyond the Tesla AI software and onboard computer.

@@DerekDavis213 Good thing Tesla's working on improving our future. Does FSD get tired at the wheel? Does FSD get intoxicated? Has FSD helped to avoid collisions? Of course it's not perfect today. But besides CommaAI, I don't know any company other than Tesla that is working on a generalized approach to autonomous driving. One that is within reach for the average consumer to be able to afford. I'm also skeptical with things from time to time, but we need to have faith in solving this - and if anybody's going to solve it with vision, I think Tesla has the best shot.

We don’t know for sure if Tesla will actually do hardware upgrade for HW3 cars. Then again since FSD Unsupervised has not been achieved, it’s possible even AI4 may not be enough. Especially since AI5 is slated to come out next year. While Elon said in the recent investor event that if they find HW3 is not capable of unsupervised that is safe enough. That leave some big questions, the most obvious is what is safe enough? Another question is will it even be possible to upgrade HW3 to AI4, especially when you consider v13 is being trained on the higher resolution cameras. Down sampling of camera is much easier to trying to up size camera data feed from low resolution to high resolution. Yes many TV’s do it, but artifacts that are created can look odd in some cases, but n case of FSD that added artifact could be potentially dangerous. Before you say, they will just upgrade cameras as well, while that is entirely possible, the data lines wasn’t meant to handle the higher bandwidth. So we are back to what Elon said at time when AI4 hardware came out, that it’s not possible to upgrade HW3 to AI4. Proof that it’s possible that Tesla won’t likely upgrade HW3 cars. HW2 cars with FSD was never upgraded to HW3, and these are on the more expensive Model S & X.

And they've had several years to develop a retrofit that brings HW3 up to HW4 specs within the same footprint as HW3.

Seriously , my friend hit the structure or giant pipe that the manhole cover sits in because the whole street, in preparation for repaving, was ground down or scraped 4 inches down. Hi VW Jetta subframe hit the , now elevated structure and WHAM bent his front subframe suspension area back as the car, going 5 mph cautiously, came to an instant loud hard stop. Wack. Then steering wheel and side airbags exploded burning his arm and bending his glasses. My Model 3 has perhaps 6" ground clearance. Is Tesla going to do hazard avoidance or pot hole avoidance ? On the positive side, my Tesla skirts piles of raked leaves! Amazing ...and...recognizes a shopping cart in the end of parking spots and will back in but NOT hit the cart! Try it! Re Green light phantom hard stop... yes me too! Never did that before. This could be fatal for motorcyclists following us through a gree light intersection. This is serious bad. Should be top top priority to fix immediately. I already submitted Service on for it. Not a problem for New Jersey or Rhode Island...indistinguishable from most drivers there.
