Yahweh loves all of his creations equally, i think Lucifer loved himself more than he loved God and everyone else which made him turn wicked, Lucifer was the first to commit sin in Pride, Jealousy, Greediness, Selfishness, and Narcissism.

Tbh, he's messed things up pretty good and succeeded to pass the blame over to God especially in the minds of those who reject God's authority. I always hear folks asking why God allows evil - well, the Prince of Darkness is running amock the world over desecrating everything God created, and many are playing into his hands without a second's thought.
