The combination of the guest speakers is something I never imagined. One is deeply philosophical, and the other is highly pragmatic. What a wonderful blend.

This easily feels like you are taking the part that favours you as a woman😂 Why don't you just focus on your role to be all submissive and respectful, honouring and regarding the man... And let the man focus on the loving and giving part.

Just because a woman is following and a man is leading does not mean that they are not equal. Equality is a fundamental human right that should be emphasized especially in marriage. Yes, they have different roles and should be equally equipped in all aspects to function excellently well. I think I would much rather aspire equity in marriage. It should be the goal. By removing equality in marriage, you are implying that equality should not be demanded in society by the people. It’s just a matter of roles.
@shilohnowАй бұрын
I like that role playing was mentioned. Everyone wants to be a wife or husband but they are not trained 😭
@shilohnowАй бұрын
And people adapt roles differently so we need to also allow for flexibility in society and be willing to watch for the overall manifestation of the actions. It’s so easy to begin to treat marriage as a contract rather than a covenant if role playing is overemphasized. It is a tool not an idol. The two must also act from the spirit. Have the fruits of the spirit, allow for forgiveness, be peaceful etc.
@shilohnowАй бұрын
A woman cannot live inside a man’s head. Men must learn to communicate. And marriage is not corporate.
@shilohnowАй бұрын
Narcissists give roles to people and fire people in their lives due to dissatisfaction and quickly replace them. Role playing is 15-20% of the work. Jesus spoke about this and I will reference it but I am too lazy to look it up. The Holy Spirit is necessary and a couple with the fruit of the spirit will have a long lasting marriage. When your intelligence has failed, or your health has failed, what happens then? I pray that everyone reading this will find someone that is surrendered to God.
