Welcome to our Homecountry. I worked at Lassen Volcanic National Park the summer of 1980 when Mt St Helens erupted and many people were taking the Volcanic Legacy Highway. We decided to head for the Coast and chilling in Ft. Bragg when the Hi is around 60 snd the lows 48. Feels wonderful

I always love you cycling videos! I’ll also be doing the rail ride in the Catskills in NY amend of June. Your video just made me more excited! I also wanted to recommend kool tie to you. I cycle a lot and I am prone to migraines on very hot days. I use this to keep me cool. It’s like a bandana but it contains gel beads. You soak the kool tie in water and the gel beads absorb it and place it around your neck to cool you. It will keep you cool for hours in very hot days. REI has them or you can order from their website.

Brought back lots of good memories-I grew up in Parkdale on my family’s orchard in the shadow of Mt. Hood. A minor note, the names for Mt Adams and Mt. Hood are flipped. Mt. Hood has the pointed peak. Thanks for the great videos!

I love how you just randomly found & road that cool trail! How are you liking the shrug? Almost bought a few awhile back, but I have so many Columbia button down sunshirts I feel I should wear them. But stretchy sound way more comfortable. The star lapse is incredible!

Glad to see you made it to the Biz Johnson Trail. You are correct that transportation to the top of the 25-mile trail would allow you to use the gentle, downhill grade of the former rail line (3%) to your advantage, resulting in an easy ride. In addition to the fun bridges to cross, there are two cool railroad tunnels you will have to peddle through. We did this trip about 5 years ago on recumbent-trikes with attached dog trailer and thoroughly enjoyed it. We found the area beautiful and the town of Susanville was historic and interesting, although a bit sketchy. The town seemed to be on hard times and major employers were the prison and Indian Casino. We had no problems and spent a night at the delightful Victorian Roseberry House B&B.

Okay, more places to add to my list. I'll have to hit some of this on my way back down from Oregon. I like the shrug and I've been looking for something like that and I like your's. We hit 93 here yesterday but a little cooler today, I bet you're getting into more heat as you go. Nice bakery, I looked it up to see if they had any gluten free items but didn't find any, but they now serve clam chowder on Fridays. You two are just having way too much fun, keep enjoying the ride. Try Suzanne Somers gut renew shake mix. Plant based protein with lots of great ingredients. We love the chocolate it has no sugar just manuka honey. We make it with almond milk a banana and 2 Tablespoons of peanut butter and a few ice cubes. It’s like a chocolate shake. Look it up and see the ingredients! Incredible! The original flavor which is berry isn’t as good in my opinion. They put stevia in the original but not in the chocolate one. We have one every day.
