Our grown kids keep telling us we need to go to Linville falls since we’re Linville’s. We’re all out west and have never been to that part of the country. Thanks for a great video.

You should have seen the bridge that was there before that one. It really did swing with the wind. You needed a strong constitution to cross it. And Control of your bodily functions!! The Linville Falls Visitor center closes, but the trails stay open. Best time to go is during the Highland Games in July! And the Midnight Marshmellow wars !!

I enjoy your videos, we both RV in generally the same areas of TN, KY, NC, GA, SC, etc.. I just want to suggest a small campground to you all, Lazy Llama Campground, Chucky, TN. It is a working Llama farm and on Saturday they do a hayride to the llama barn where you can interact and pet the llamas. It was a great experience, wife and I both enjoyed it!!! Also in the area is Jonesboro TN, bills itself as story telling capital, cool little walkable town. Lastly in the area, Greenville TN, home of Andrew Johnson National Historical Site if you all are history buffs. Enjoy!!! Keep up the great videos, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! Stay safe out there!!!

We loved that area when we were there. We went to both grandfather mountain and Linville falls. We stayed at Ben Den Mountain RV park in Spruce Pine, NC. We liked the remoteness of it but I’m not sure it’s big rig friendly. Also it’s just off the blue ridge parkway and that section does close in the winter making it harder to get to the campground.

My wife and I visited Grandfather Mountain about 1987. We drove up the Blue Ridge Parkway/Skyline Drive in my MGB, mostly stayed at federal campgrounds, and made plenty of stops like Linneville Falls, Blowing Rock, Mt. Mitchell, and of course Grandfather Mountain. The bridge looks pretty stable in the pic, but I remember it being quite bouncy. We also hiked the other way from the visitor center, on what became a pretty intense trail. No permit requirement or warnings then as I recall. The next morning after that hike, we realized just how intense the hike was, when we got out of the tent and stood up. We decided no more hiking for a day or two, but of course there are just too many great trails off the BRP. That was a great vacation, though physically exhausting. I we were in the area now, with our vehicle choices being motorcycle or truck, we'd take the bike. Maybe find a good RV park along the freeway, and just explore on the bike. I've ridden the length of the BRP/SD before, as well as taking various cars on it, but it would be great to ride sections of it again.
@johnnylightning149110 ай бұрын
It never ceases to amaze me that campgrounds put sharp gravel on their tent sites. That gravel will make junk out of a tent floor in about one night. Yes I still tent camp sometimes. Ya think that drive was bad don't go to Georgia. I scraped the front of my F150 on a driveway in Georgia. I don't know if it's the highway department rules but it's just insane. Keep the good stuff coming guys.

We were near Linville for this years Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. We stayed at Buck Hill Campground in Plumtree NC. We also took a trip up to the Swinging Bridge. The views up there are fantastic. Also had a good time at the Games. One thing about the entrance to Buck Hill was the bridge we had to go over. Our sister in law was with us both her and my wife closed their eyes as I drove over the bridge. Not sure how the tail swing on your Momentum would have handled it.

I had the same problem with my fifth wheel scream in the bottom. Sometimes I put on some air bags and it raised the rear, ran up a little to level and took care of all my problems. I do not know if you’ve got airbags, but it might be something that she might want to think about they can definitely get them, after market, they take about a day to put on if you take your time.

@ChangingLanes10 ай бұрын
Shouldn't be any different than us in the middle. We didn't scrape going in, just coming out. So, maybe the key is to be turning sharper, with the rig at more of an angle before going over the hump. But, I'm not sure about your low rear end when going in. I would call them and ask if others have stayed there with a 376 or 374 (solitude)... Maybe they have some advice. I would just take it slow and have a backup place to stay if you can't get in. Good luck!
