I can't help but see Novus as a Prometheus figure. The Wardens created Sonaria, but made sure to make all the other creatures weaker than they, so none could ever challenge them. Novus did not like this. The 'lesser' creatures rankled under the wardens' rule but could not rise up. They were powerless. Novus felt sympathy for the creatures. So Novus returned to the Warden's workshop in secret and made something... new. Without the power of all working together, Novus could not create from nothing. He had to start with little scraps of fabric and thread, and breath power into the constructs. In this way, Novus made little replicas of creatures, that could give bits of warden-power to those that carried them. He was even able to make all new creatures, stitched together amalgamations that twitched to life at his command. When Novus' meddling was discovered by the other wardens, they were enraged. His work could bring them down from their place as gods. They tore him limb from limb and dumped his shattered body in the water. But his creations live on. And creatures are now becoming powerful enough to challenge the iron rule of the remaining 5 wardens.

They harvest the prayers and life force of fallen creatures, and funnel them to the Wardens themselves, so that even if their bodies are destroyed, they may continuously return (revive tokens). It is said, in hushed whispers, should Novus' true shrine ever be found, he could be resurrected by the prayers of his faithful. And then shall come the reckoning, as he leads the creatures of all Sonaria against their cruel makers and masters.

i have a good theory. so we know that the Borenhir and the Athulyth are robots that are owls that were created in an attempt to make new live specious(long story short athulyth was a failure and Borenhir was a sucsess). what if the wardens used there combined power to make these creatures. it would explain the giant owl in the background just saying.

To be really honest, my theory is that the arm resting in the bush looks like Boreal's hands, and looking at how it's black with the black substance on the wall behind it, it might be made of ink, and the ink could give/support life for the dolls it sows, and so it could be a boss battle event. The Novus may be sown too...

My theory is that the wardens each had a fight against a different or new warden , leaving the novus wounded with the wardens having to fix it. Also that's why I think the strings r there My second theory is that there was awfull warden and they had to... get rid of it before any creatures new by getting rid of all of what it had ! Ik late reply but I have a theory combing most of the other theories represented in the video. Novus was making the plushes we have today that we can equip on our creatures and the other wardens destroyed novus shrine and the novus statue isn't a statue but the cropse of novus (because they dont support the novus idea of plushes but also because they were jeolous of novus since novus is the only warden who can swim or fly, and the warden who came up with the amazing plush idea to help others). About that door, I think that leads to the trade realm, but who is the one holding the needle? I think it's Jerry. Maybe he was the most powerful creature in sonaria lurking in the cave underwater. Jerry felt bad for novus and once novus died he kept going with novus idea of plushes. But once the other wardens found out they destroyed Jerry using all their power which made the orginal wardens get sealed withing the mask in the cave, and Jerry escaped to the trade realm, hiding and lurking in the small cave, thinking of how get revenge.

Ok. Late again but I have an idea for the theories. You know how the meat tags have changed to "the creature", that might have a further link to the wardens. I also have an idea on where exactly the wardens are placed. The highest warden statue (I think) is the boreal. The lowest is the garra. I'm not sure because I haven't played for a while but there the Garra's theme is a red sort of lava theme, maybe like hell. But that doesn't link up with the boreal bc of it's ice theme. What I'm saying is. There's "the creature" that is trying to create new wardens, with or without the masks. The meat with " the creature" tag could all the failed, supposedly new, wardens.

BEST THEORY I FOUND ( I think.. ) After that arm with the needle.. it gave me a lil memory… so when you go to flower cove outside of the flower cove, you will find some antlers.. just sitting around there.. it give me somthing in my mind " hay.. that’s the mystery arm I found in the wardens cave… so I got this idea.. maybe there are missing parts all over CoS? Those antlers belong to the ura. They've been there since Christmas 2021. Also, the devs directly stated that the arm belongs to an unknown type of creature. Therefore, it cannot be ura.

I'm late for this but something did strike me head: novus is the only warden that looks built rather than born. by that I mean he looks like a golem, enchanted rocks powered by something made into shape to take form of another something, created to purely do a thing, be that whatever it is. perhaps the "fake" is because he is not born from the warden father/mother, born of sonaria, he was created by something or someone else into life being. perhaps he was not destroyed, or his statue at least, because of some hideous crime, but perhaps the other wardens created him, presented him as family to all where he exceeded his tasks, his everything, but he was not alive, he was not someone but something. perhaps the wardens saw this as blaphemy agaisnt their creator and decided to erase him, not for rage or anger or even to punish, just because he was a creation made without permission, without consent, and he was not made by sonaria, so in essence, he was not "real" . a paradox of existence, both god and not, alive but without life, something that was but shouldn't be, perhaps with was.

here's a fun little fan story i wrote about this! one time in Sonaria, the wardens decided to have a shrine built in their honour, they choose to put the entrance under water, but the shrine itself above the water, so that it wouldn't be easily accessed or destroyed. Garra warden and Angelic warden come down to see what was built, when Garra warden sees Novus warden's mask on a pedestal, he becomes angry and destroys her mask with one strong rip of his claws "the false one is not a warden! they don't deserve to be honoured!" yelled the angry warden and he left in a fit of rage. meteors rained down from the heavens as a sign the wardens were fighting, angelic warden always knew Garra was short tempered, and said to herself "Novus is surely a warden, i haven't quite met her yet, but the creatures built this shrine themselves, and what they treat as a warden, i treat as a warden" so she started stitching up the mask Garra had ripped, and when she was almost done, she heard na loud call from the entrance. "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING???" she turned, shocked and saw Garra, even angrier then before! "you cannot show respect to such a fake! Novus isn't even a living creature, she's a beast made of stone! Garra cut off her arm and destroyed her pedestal as a punishment for such actions. "maybe you're not a real warden either." look, i know angelic was added like over half a year after the shrine was added but hey, i like just making random fan stories about games/series I love AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME BUHAUHAUHUAHDBEQHFB

I have a theory So basically there used to be other wardens around, and they used to live in peace with the others. One day, they decided to make a new warden, which they created by sewing them together. The Novus Warden was then brought to life by one of the wardens abilities. They were the best of friends, but then Hellion found out about the other wardens activities, and was infuriated that they created a creature as powerful as the other wardens. Hellion immediately started to go on a rampage and unalive each and every warden that created the Novus, leaving a bunch of carcasses on the floor. One arm from the unalived warden was bit into and flung across the room into a corner, a needle still perfectly intact in its fingers. A head piece column was rolled across the floor into the sand from the fight, too. The Novus Warden was the only one that survived, because they were given a lot of powers from its creators. The remaining wardens found out about this and decided it was best to chain Hellion and Novus up, because they were too dangerous to be free. After that, the wardens closed the door to the unalived wardens, where they could be forgotten.

I think verdant is actually evil and is trying to take novus's place by destroying it's statue and smashing it's mask, and once the kind verdant took over it sowed the mask together but couldnt rebuild the statue

I have concocted a theory, here it is: The Novus Warden has become rarer than it once was, and for some mysterious reason its stitched mask (I think the masks were stitched as a memorial for the wardens, bc basically the normal creatures treat the wardens like emperors) has become undone and its statue memorial (the statue things all wardens have, I think made as another memorial) has crashed into the sea. The wardens are becoming uneasy, and worried about these things. But strangest and most worrisome of all, the Vault has been covered in some goop, and a strange limb holding a needle eerily similar to the one first used to stitch the mask sticking out of it. This thing is causing the Novus, and ultimately all the wardens, to go extinct, to perhaps take over Sonaria itself.

My 2 Theories: 1. The creature that stitched novus mask could be trying to bring them all together but the reason it didn't fully stitched it's because something attack the creature while stitching the novus mask. Leaves an arm of it behind. 2. Must be a collector for it's new home and planned for designs and by killing the wardens for they're masks. Odd secret underwater palace I see lol. 3. The secret creature could make a stronger warden because the creature maybe witnessed something the pillars, the chains, and statues to fight off another threat since it is shown that there are other world's that might come and take sonaria. The secret creature that stitched could be friendly.

Theory:the warden creator is the figure we see at the end of the cave,posible warden creator or even sonaria creator,meaning that that creature is a omnicient and ancient creature ,which created the wardens i think,but he saw that one of the wardens died and was murdered by novus ,by this,he decide to condemn novus to die and, he decided to create a replace warden (unknown)but the arm holding a needle i think its a arm of that creature,maybe he created the place of sar'hingaro lore(daimona)whe have to remember that to complete warden lore we need to find the secret vault and all statues .

(I may be a little late for this) This isn't a theory but there is 6 wardens in total, 6 shelf's that showcase each wardens mask, there is another shelf that lays beneath the water before you enter the cave. Each of those shelves showed WARDEN masks meaning there might be another warden? This might just be me but the way the secret vault is arranged, 3 wardens on each side? And then a door of some sort in the middle which COULD lead to another bigger but powerful warden? Maybe that's what the 7th shelf goes to.

Okay. So I painfully had to rewrite this due to be on mobile, but here we go. First of all, Novus likely IS a hybrid warden. Looking at the color pallet, each color shared by another warden, and it’s mask resembles that of the boreals and hellions, and it’s large structure is like the ardors. Notice how it’s partially made of stone? I have a feel that it’s connected to gramoss and hyboria, which both have similar origins. Perhaps an anti warden force? Perhaps a warden helping team? Perhaps Jeff’s greatest army? If you look at athulyth and borenhir, it makes you wonder if Novus is like the ultimate form, the most successful version of all of these artificial creatures. But anyways, just a theory and I wish I didn’t have to just rewrite all that because I had more detail in my scrapped comment 😢😢😢😅😅😅 (Edit) Oh, and remember that ancient Sonarian language? Well, perhaps it’s somewhat connected to the making of these beings.

The limb you saw holding a needle in the other video belongs to the Boreal warden, and in one of the theories made by a cos fan said that Boreal is the creator of the Novus warden, and Novus means fake, that fan theory also said the other wardens, especially Hellion warden, didn't want novus to exist in sonaria as it isn't an actual warden, thats probably why Hellion's shrine has him chained to the wall. Novus might have been made and sewed from different creatures all handmade by Boreal, thats probably also why the Novuses mask in the vault looks like its been sewed together. I haven't seen many theories about plushies yet but I'll see.

Ok, I just made a theory based on all the stuff in this video, time to type it out ahaha I'm totally on board with Azaria86's theory of the Novus being a kind of Prometheus of Sonaria. Perhaps the Wardens are sort of Sonaria's gods, keeping the other, weaker creatures under an iron rule. Novus thought this was unfair, so it created the Plushies, imbuing the sewn figures with some of it's power, in attempt to help the creatures out. The other wardens didn't like this. They stripped the novus of it's strength, defacing it's shrine in the plains, casting its shattered statue to the depths of the ocean. That would explain why novus is much weaker than the other wardens, being more of a Support creature than anything else. Although, its not entirely defenseless... perhaps more powerful than it was right after the Wardens banished it.... Maybe the masks are the source of the Wardens power, and it's strength was taken when the Novus mask was broken. But the Novus has some skill with this sort of thing, after learning how to sew the Plushies. So it went to it's mask, intending to sew it back together. Or maybe it gave the task to a trusted devotee, whose unrecognized remains lie in the temple, clutching a needle in a shriveled arm, it's task half-finished. Thus, the Novus isn't entirely helpless, but neither is it truly a god. This is my current theory, and I think it fits the lore rather well! Feel free to suggest details in replies :)

Quickly, I want to say this is a second prediction! So, you know all the warden statues, right? How come Novus and Hellion are chained up? And Boreal's hands are pierced with icicles? The other wardens chained them up. Boreal, Hellion and Novus were rumored to be scheming by creatures from around Sonaria, and the other wardens weren't happy. They decided to have a meeting, and suddenly, Hellion rose to speak. "Boreal and Novus have nothing to do with the rumors! Punish me, but nobody else!" Hellion explained. Then Boreal stood, "Hellion should not be punished. Punish me." Boreal said. Novus reluctantly rose to speak, "I know I'm being accused of impersonation, but trust me! I am a real warden! Hellion and Boreal believe I am, so why don't you?" "Silly Novus," Ardor laughed, "Not a warden!" shouted Garra. "Nobody likes you, Novus, you liar." Giggled Verdant. Boreal growled, and the murmurs faded ever so slightly. "Novus is correct." Boreal interrupted, "Hellion and I believe Novus is not lying!" "Oh, great. More liars. Garra, chain them." Ardor sighed. Garra threw chains over Boreal, Hellion and Novus. "But make sure Novus gets more of a punishment..." ~ Garra had felt bad for Boreal. They had been best friends! How could Boreal betray Garra! I'll betray him back. So off Garra went, to the mountain peaks, searching for Boreal. Finally, Garra arrived. "Hello, old friend." Garra snarled. Boreal didn't respond. Garra sniffed and took the chains away. Garra lifted Boreal's hands, to find some icicles on the pedestals. Garra grinned. Garra smashed Boreal's hands on the icicles, leaving Boreal in pain, to be stuck there forever. -Please note this is not official!

My theory would be that the novous wasnt an actual warden and has kinda stolen the 6th wardens place and tried to gain the other wardens trust. I also have a theory that novous was hated by the other wardens since novous wardens statue was abandoned under water and chained up and also novous wardens mask looks like its been smashed and stitched together. Those are just my theories so im not 100% sure. The limb with the needle looked abit like boreals leg btw but not exactly- I might not make sense alot since its 2am or even 3am. Okay, here is my theory: I believe there is a higher rank than just wardens. And if one of the wardens doesn't act accordingly they are turned to stone, chained down under the water, and their pillars are knocked down. I believe the cave deal was a strucker made to symbolize the trust that the higher ranks have in the wardens. So the more the trust is broken the more their masks are ripped. And before they are punished completely (meaning their mask is comletely ripped) they have chances to replenish the higher rank's trust in them. Trust in the real world, once it is broken it is really hard to "sew" back that trust together. So I believe because the sewing on the novus's mask is rather poorly done, that the novus is building up their trust very slowly. "but how are they building up their trust if they were turned to stone? you may ask.. WELL speaking of the sar, mayne that is where the wardens who are punished go, to build up their trust with the higher ranks. Therefore I believe the novus is down in sar-ville trying to make their world of chaos a somewhat better place in order to be granted the higher rank's trust back. or instead of the sewing on the novus's mask being a sign of it trying to bring back it's trust. Rather its the other wardens trying to bring the novus back into Sonaria to save it's soul from the firey pits of sar-ville, because they believe the punishment was too harsh. So Sar-ville is just where the wardens are sent as punishment. And the cave may be a safe spot for the wardens to hide from the higher rank's watch.

Kinda random but I do have something that might at least shed some light on Aereis. So if you look at Aer's gallery on the wiki, the concept artist made a little comic-y thing about Aereis' origins. From what I took from the comic, Aereis start as stars with a consciousness, sent to Sonaria by some godlike entity (not a Warden) after the star wished for that. This could explain Aer's rarity and chaotic nature: the godlike entity specifically says it's never met a star with such a consciousness, and considering Aereis all started as star you can imagine they might have a bit of a way are being "pure, elegant chaos" (causing chaos because they don't know the effect it has on others). If you look at the star's design in the comic, it looks kinda similar to the one on Verdant's statue over the flower. And the word on the plaque for it say "grow". What I'm getting at is that Verdant helped the first Aereis survive without knowing what the frick they brought out of that totally normal crater in the ground.

Lets move away from Novus for a bit... I think we're missing the bigger picture... Y'know... When the theory said that wardens were lesser creatures in an even bigger food chain i just came back from a game session as a Zwevialisk. Becuz... All terrain... Anyways... As i was underwater dodging a volcanic eruption that happened at the time... I swam by these giant skeletons... Thought nothing of it then except for "if the current peak of creatures are T5 then these things must be a T8/T10" When i finished and was theorising using mish-mashes of people's theories to base a solid plausible one... I thought... "If the warden's are T5 then back sometime these huge beasts must've had something" Digging about and stuff led me to these types of videos and the line "a bigger power created the wardens" immediately linked a couple pieces A warden statue not yet in the game is the Angelic Warden (if it ever will be) would probably explain more lore pieces. During its cannon ages, on Diamona, previously known as the origin planet of the Sar Hingaro, has Overseers running the world. With the Sar being the only surviving member, which was the most recent overseer and the last, so that kinda makes sense why it's a T5, but the point is.... The older overseers must've been bigger and stronger, a higher tier if you will. There is also someone or something that wrote those lore papers for the Overseers when that lore was cannon. When a lore is scrapped. Its used as a base for new lore... So might be worth looking into Sonarian history there. What made the wardens... To make something of such high caliber and yet not have them challenge your rule, you have to be an extremely powerful being. There are also the meat spawners around the map. If you use Sniff near these meats you'll notice that they came from "The Creature" in glitchy text. Some more food for thought. Slightly unrelated. When i heard the name Wardens, i immediately thought of prison wardens. Prisons have ranking systems and even though the wardens are the ones calling the shots at the prison. In this case, Sonaria. They must still obey the higher officials and are like puppets on strings... A FALSE sense of freedom of action. Same goes for the Sonarian Wardens. Puppets that can't see the strings. Now... Does that fit into sonaria yet? Assuming the Wardens killed the higher tier creatures. We might be meeting the last surviving member or what's left of it behind that door. A source of materials for CREATION and POWER. Mined for its resources. Or an underground complex. The Warden's Temple. Where secrets of the Warden's lives lay buried and Sonarian text lines the walls. Filled with carcasses of unknown origin Sorry for the long post.... But the thought-bearing fruits here are no doubt great... Hopefully?

The creature behind the wall could be Angelic Warden... The eye orbs that hover around it may be fossilised into the wall as a sign of it trying to escape from its cell... The Angelic Warden prob felt bad for Novus... so it found needles and started to sew Novus' crown back together. The other wardens tried to stop Angelic, thus leaving its skeleton behind... Though, legend has it that the Angelic Warden is still alive and planning to create a new warden to stop the other 5 to rescue Novus from its weakening position... The new warden may be a more violent warden than others, the Demonic Warden. The Demonic Warden would have a lot of damage, enough to take down all the wardens except for Novus, Angelic, and itself... It would stalk the vault until the wardens come for a meeting.. then, it would attack. Though, plans may be left behind in Angelic's cell, embedded in the wall with sharp talon markings in a design of the Demonic Warden that may be coming for halloween... The downfall of Novus may end... but in a violent way... Novus and Angelic team up, along with the Demonic. Before Novus came to battle, Angelic confronted the 5 wardens, bribing them with gold, emeralds and any valuable gemstone it had. The wardens would be annoyed when setting Novus free, but then, they never knew what they had done... (DISCLAIMER: DEMONIC WARDEN WAS MY IDEA! SO IT MIGHT NOT BE RELEASED! ITS FANMADE BY ME, AND PROB WON'T MAKE IT INTO THE FULL GAME!) BTW SORRY FOR BAD GRAMMAR LOL, IM MUCH BETTER NOW!

Novus doesn’t have eyes or like things representing eyes so I assume it’s like a puppet used to observe the other wardens to slowly get against them and also, novus doesn’t seem to own a piece of sonaria like how verdant owns flower cove and boreal owns tundra etc,

I know everyone is saying there is a something creating a super Warden. But what if the Novus Warden is the super Warden. Created by the other wardens to create it but Novus Warden was considered fake because it's made from the wardens but not something else. Maybe the wardens are obeying a higher power and that creature denied the Novus Warden and wanted to end it's life. If you look under water at the water fall entrance there is a 7th pedestal so my theory is that a long time ago there was a powerful puppeteer creature who wanted to be apart of the wardens of sonaria, and he actually was a candidite to become the 7th warden, so when he went for his inspection with the wardens they all agreed except novus because novus said he saw evil inside him so he didnt become the 7th warden and when he got mad and tried attacking the wardens the wardens seperated his body from his soul annd hid it somewhere else. Then they banished his soul away, or so they thought, because he got out. But this puppeteer should not be estimated because he knew novus would not agree, so he created a puppet novus body and used it to get revenge, he made more puppet creatures and sent them to retrieve his body, because if he gets his body back he will be a lot stronger. And his plan is to create puppet copies of all the wardens to help him take down the real wardens, absorb their power and rule sonaria

My Theory: One night a creature collected all of the Wardens masks and stitched them together, making the creature turn into a new warden:Novus Warden, when the other creatures saw it, it looked like a real warden so they made a statue for it.But the wardens weren't fooled they destroyed the statue and attacked Novus, resulting in the Novus Warden needing to get sewed again.

Here's my theory. As we know a Summer Warden has not been released yet, which might have something to do with the sun. So maybe there's a secret summer warden that is sewing all the Warden's masks because if you look closely the masks are in fact made of silk/felt, so they must be sewn. And when you go in the water to get into the vault you can see a crushed pedestal, which might have been the Summer Warden. So maybe the Summer Warden was forgotten about and created the vault to sew all the masks of the Wardens for something. (I'm not quite sure why yet). And so maybe the other wardens found out Novus was fake and so out of empathy the Summer Warden tried to fix their crown because they remembered being forgotten and didn't want the same to happen to Novus. Thoughts??

My theory is that Novus warden actually got murdered by Hellion warden because Hellion is trapped in the Sand Dunes and the message says "Time Lord" So maybe that means he is trapped for eternity.

4:17 that green portal is daimona portal It was lush land full of life, much like sonaria is today But the massive drought hit the daimona Seas were dried, flora and fauna died and land was covered with poison Sar one of the few to survive and he opened the portal to sonaria and escaped there but he didnt follow sonaria rules The 5 wardens, along with most powerful warden closed the door but sar escaped And i think novus escaped to and he killed that mighty sixth warden with sars help 4 wardens being angry that he killed the lord but boreal didnt have option but to ACCEPT novus Novus was badly injured by other 4 wardens and hid in the vault to fix his mask before he dies beacuse, acoarding to the lore, when mask is broken the warden dies And 4 wardens wanted to kill him in his fixing the mask but boreal saw that and turned them all into shrines with meanings on their boards The translation from sonarian to english means this Boreal warden:freeze Ardor warden:life Verdant warden:grow Hellion warden:time lord Garra:death The thing about the novus he was all terrain and after the shrine transforming boreal didnt concider novus as one of them beacuse he came from daimona and with that reason all wardens got pillars as meaning of true warden but novus didnt have them and novus board means false and with that reason thats why novus wont be returning in lss event and he is only untradeble creature with his species numbers estimated around 13k to 15k (at least i think) But devs said as for now so novus may return but for now its all not known

This is a theory just so you know- in hellions shrine they are chained up what if hellion was jealous of how novus could run, fly and swim while hellion could only run and walk, so he did bad things to the other wardens and farmed him for it. The other wardens would start calling him false expect for one. The arm in the vault looks a lot like Garra's, maybe Garra discovered his secret, but the others wouldn't' believe him. Behind stone at novus wardens' shrine there's claw marks of each warden. But if they were just moving the statue what would the wardens be fighting? It was Garra (or at least this is what I think) Garra didn't like the way the other wardens were treating the novus because he was framed so he fought against them but he was not as powerful as the other wardens so he had to flee, the other wardens would have attacked novus by now but Garra helped novus survive in the vault it's Garra trying to fix Novus's mask while he hides in secret.

personaly i think that the theory mentioning daimona portal is good one. but i have my theory is different. so as i mentioned daimona portal, from what i know daimona is different dimesnion that have been destroyed, and sar is one of its "wardens" called overseers that there are two generations of X and Y. sar is from X and all other overseers from it also were called sar' ... but went extinct, and Y of new overseers adpated to new factors also some creatures come from daimona like hemokai or kehmador. so with that being said i belive that since wardens have an fake beetween, maybe novus sabotaged the mission of closing daimona portal, and it only has been closed partialy, and its behind the door or gate or strange wall that we see. and the masks are there to protect it from opening again perhaps, also novus mask probs got destroyed but i have no idea what fixed it since there is no info about it, tho about the wardenless pillars, i belive that its just place holder of summer warden that i belive will come out. and also, "A cataclysmic event struck Daimona eons ago , causing the extinction of 80% of its biomass and forcing any surviving species to adapt to new harsh and aggressive environmental factors. mine is maiueve and Norskogg because the male maiueve has a mask and also the Norskogg too, like the wardens they might have got rejected like the novus so they teamed up together and started hunting the other wardens hints the statues might be graves for them, but when the portal opened up and the sar came so they collected the masks and started sewing them together trying to make a hybrid warden save them but they failed and the novus got chained down to the bottom water while the others continued their research.

Here’s my theory-there was a warden BEFORE novus that was the real one. Novus was jealous so he/she made a vault to capture the real warden. It worked and novus told the other wardens the the real warden left and told novus to be the new one. Yet again it worked and they believed that for thousands of years. Back to the lost, real warden. The arms of the real warden were able to come out of the walls and control everything around them. With the other warden’s they found out novus was fake so they banished them and named him/her “fake”. They took the mask and threw it in the ocean. The mask floated into the vault and when the hands felt it they put it on the pedestal they made to put it on. It was broken so the real warden stitched it together. Then they collected the other masks and to this day, the real warden is still locked behind the door. This took way too long but I wanna say something, I feel like the wardens made the novus mask for him/her. The real mask for the real, lost warden is the symbol on the wall between the lost warden and the vault. I hope you mention this one day and I worked so hard

My own theory is either the masks were taken after a great battle by the wardens against a powerful foe and the wardens were defeated and took their place, since novus was the weakest warden it would be no surprise why its mask was destroyed, could be the sar was their foe but thats just my theory...and this vault may have been its lair and using the warden masks power to create something.

Here’s my theory because ardor has paws instead of hands this is my theory Boreal,Hellion,Novus,Garra,Verdant, created sonaira and ruled over the land but then Novus became evil then the wardens used all of their powers and destroyed Novus. But that was a fake one and the real Novus Shed it’s skin and became a monster warden but the wardens trapped Novus in eternal darkness now Novus is the creature lurking behind vault and when the wardens where busy Novus tried to escape, but did not know there was a curse whoever tries to escape the vault gets trapped forever and The wardens created a new warden named Ardor. But Used all there power so they just had to put paws for Ardor instead of hands. Then the Wardens got really old and then decided to use their powers to create the statues of today. (And I do like Sliver Soul foxes comment So I’m am going to do something like that.)And then all of a sudden the spirits of Wardens came back to life but caused a problem. A green portal opened Wardens came to close it but it was to late…A creature named Sar Hingaro has escaped but the wardens still managed to close the portal but at what cost…a new creature has a escaped Now. But The wardens has forgotten everything it was Their 1st warden…the warden that created everything. Someday the 1st Warden will return and use The power of Life Love Nature Ice Water Fire Protection And One of a kind The Dragon element 🐉. Theory time? I think i went too far with this.. My theory is that an unknown warden, possibly hinted at by the thrown podium and caven in statue area, created the plushies. This unknown warden could have the strings as its main ability and the Garra's work with bleed. This unknown warden could have also ether created or had Novus as an underling, seeing as the claw in the corner has too many finger to be Verdant's. It could be that Aeries (maybe its sigil on the vault wall) and Verdant (the star held my it, also kinda similar to the wall pattern) sealed the warden and "cut its connections" with Novus. Someone clearly tried to cover it up by trying to remove the podum, cave in the statue, and stitch Novus back up after trapping and "cutting conection." Also the wardens cound not be gods of any kind, but Aeries could be the strait creation of god. My guess is that the wardens are the 'guardians' rather then gods, and Aeries is trying to "keep them inline," but had gone too far with the unknown warden and tried to cover up their mistake. The unknown warden could have also tried to sew Novus back up posibly.

so far the current highest grade is aer and para since they were created by a *Greater Power* that are close to the sun, the second high grade (i think) are the baze and bani since they have queen system. The sun in the middle of the vault, i think, resemble "Greater Power" Edit: Based on the lore from onyxthedragon, i feel like the Greater Power sew novus's mask. Or, the ancient tribe, yes there was a ancient tribe. There used to be people in sonaria, but extinct due to predatory, so could it be the humans? or something else like Greater Power

Well I have my own theory.. what if the wardens were created by an unknown creature because if you look somewhere in the warden cave you will see a broken off robotic arm and. And what if the wardens were created for specific nature and reasons. Verdant :the seasons: garra and ardor :nature of life and death sycle: hellion :keeps the nature of time running: boreal :the nature of winter: novus :control of the sea: but Novus only got his warden ability granted because he pretended to be the last warden. And after they found out he was a fraud they ganged up on him. Chained him up and threw him to the sea and dropped heavy stones on him to crush him. The reason why the warden masks are in the warden cave is to show the wardens they created and that they were made there.. but through the vault in there warden cave is something in there. What can it be? A new warden in progress.? An orb made to protect sonaria.? Now that that’s out of the way back to the wardens.. later on after the wardens banished Novus to the sea some of the wardens gone mad and started attacking sonarians probs 1 by 1 or all at the same time some of the wardens gone mad. The other wardens didn’t allow this. The hellion and boreal and probs verdant too the others had to defend sonaria. They chained up hellion and put him in the dunes they trapped boreal half into a wall in tundra and had icicles on the pillars facing up. While boreal was trapped half into the wall they impailed the icicles through boreals feet to trap his legs, if verdant also got mad they turned her into stone on top of the flowercove. Before all that there were stone statues of the wardens in respect. The other pillars without a warden statue next to The pillars was because the sixth warden dissapeared and novus pretended to be him. The reason why hellion and verdant and boreal show free from their prisons (which is because the players are playing as one of those wardens) is because they break free from their prisons only to be mysteriously trapped again. All the other wardens mysteriously dissapears leaving their statues behind. The reason why the other good wardens show up (which are the players) is because they return to mystiriously dissapear again. Before the 3 wardens turned bad sand before the Novus got banished to the sea, a mystirious portal opened then leading a three headed dragon flew out of the portal all the wardens gathered to take out the portal they used their powers all at once turning the portal into a one way meaning you can come out of the portal but you can’t come into it. The three headed dragon had a gamma beam that can kill other creatures, and it started terrorising the other sonarians, and that’s it for my theory I hoped you like it, and if you did tell me in the replies. I think the seventh warden was actually the first ever creature in sonaria, and decided to stitch more together, fleur, ad and zoocu are it's failed ones that look like plushies, nobody knows what the seventh warden was, all they have is it's pure black severed arm in vaults, the real wardens were made from love: ardor excitement: verdant fear: hellion and Garra Mystery and amazement: boreal, and the novus was stitched together but was supposed to represent acceptance and sadness, novus is an imposter warden who truly has no power, after every true warden died, the novus made more fake boreals, hellions, garras, verdants, ardors, many of them, and the novus, when it died got chained up by the first warden, the mystery warden and the novus wardens that are left are not plentiful, eventually the first warden faded to dust, leaving only it's arm.... Well I think that Novus was indeed created by something. It wanted power, something powerful then wardens, so why not combine all wardens into one killing machine. You know that one picture of Ura and the 8 wardens? Well 4 of them are cracked meaning they probably went extinct since they were weak. But maybe 1 was still alive, it went into a deep state of madness, greed and anger. That it wanted revenge. (yeah don't ask how the weak warden killed the strong wardens, since I don't know as well) So it made a little cave so called lab I guess, and made Novus out of the wardens. Since it got their masks, wardens are 100% dead, they don't exist anymore, they became apart of Novus. That statue of Novus? Where is says "False", well it clearly is giving us a hint that Novus is a "False warden". And that hand that is in the cave with the masks, I think that something went into that cave where they saw a creature making the mask for Novus, but the creature got scared and it went through the door and it quickly shut on the creature's arm, therefore it was cut off. And that creature who discovered the cave was maybe the one who made all the statues, it didn't have enough time to explain so it gave us a word "False" at the Novus's statue, and got killed by the creature who made Novus. It didn't want to let out the secret. Well from my point of view I think this theory (and maybe others who have similar thinking like me) can agree this is the most logical theory we can think of, despite the clues we were given, might be even a fact about that Novus is a false warden. I don't know about the 4 wardens who are missing, but I wanted to add something juicy. Again this is not a fact, this is a GAME THEORY.

my theory is that the novus warden all the wardens lived in peace and novus did something rlly bad like he attacked the creatures or other warden than boreal and hellion and it stole their powers and the hellion and boreal got furious and they chained him up under water and the creatures that didnt know anything chained hellion up and boreal wanted peace or some type of thing and didnt want to get annoyed by others or some type of thing and the boreal freezed its self and the verdant and ardor were rlly upset and they wanted to rest in their terriories thats my theory and my other theory is : 2nd theory is that , that there was the 7th warden that was the "god" and he created all wardens but the novus warden wasnt meant to be like that and his idk helm ? broke cuz he failed creating him and he like fixed the helm and the other wardens were created everybody lived in peace till novus warden got more power and started abus!ng other creatures , when the creator found out he made all the wardens chain the novus under water and the creator of wardens got these rocks and typed in the sonaria language "fake" or some type of thing when the wardens and creatures lived in peace the boreal and hellion started fighting and arguing of something and the creator needed to chain up the hellion warden in desert and type on the rock or some type of thing "time" and he had all powers of all the wardens and he made the boreal freeze in tundra and type on the rock "freeze" the ardor and verdant wanted peace and didnt wanna die so they asked the creator to make the same thing to chaing them up or something but he only got the rock and typed on verdants something "grow" and on ardors "life" garra warden was getting ab*sed by many creatures since he was the last warden standing so the creator did the same under volcano to him and typed on the rock "death" this was my other theory that i thought might be one of them im not sure i dont play sonaria so often but i did a big rp as all 6 wardens and most of the server changed to wardens there was only 2 boreals lol but alot of verdants around 15 okay so here is my 3nd theory alot of them: so the creatures in sonaria lived in pain cuz the sonaria world was ruled by really strong creatures and some creatures made other ones named "wardens" the first time they tried making ardor it worked same as all the wardens but the novus was failed and he was overpowered warden he ki!!ed the creature that was making all creatures live in pain but the novus was starting to being mean and tried to ki!! all the creatures . the other wardens helped to make the novus warden get chained underground all the wardens completed the quest they were created for they all came back to their terriories and hellion didnt want to so he got chained up too and the ice creatures made the boreal freeze the other wardens like verdant . garra and ardor found their spots and they turned into a rock by some creatures that was my 3nd theory i have 3 more but the 2nd one is my fav so yeah lol see ya!!

I think novus is a real warden and here’s why: So I think there was some entity or warden sewing together all these synthetic creatures and disrupting the balance of life in sonaria. The wardens suspected novus, and imprisoned and destroyed his warden mask with little evidence. It was later disproven novus wasn’t the culprit and they went to free him. But it was too late, novus had starved. The wardens pitied him, and wrote fake on his tablet as in false accusation. The real culprit warden kept on doing this, and tried to see novus’s mask back together to try and use novus as his puppet, to absorb what magic still remained in the mask. But a needle and thread can only do so much to repair a magical object millions of years old. The culprit warden was later caught. There was a massive battle in the wardens cove and the pillar with the culprit wardens mask was thrown into the water, crushing it. The wardens imprisoned them behind the massive door and sealed it shut with the black goop looking stuff and all the magic they could spare, sealing them there forever. The culprit warden tried to escape their prison, but one wardens now limited magic (with their warden mask destroyed, they couldn’t obtain any more), against 5 wardens unlimited power and the mysterious black goop sealing the door in place, they were trapped. The reminents of the fight and the culprit wardens handiwork still remain, with a severed limb of the culprit warden still in the bush, with the needles scattered around, and some carcasses from animals that helped the wardens but were overpowered and killed by the culprit warden. At first I thought the culprit warden was the angelic, but angelic has 4 fingers, not 5. I suspect egion is the culprit, even though as I am typing this egion still hasn’t come out yet. Another reason why I think it is egion is they are the only other warden who will be able to swim, and therefore access wardens cove where the wardens magic is probably the most potent. Btw I made up all that lore about the warden mask don’t ask where I got it from

Novus is in fact a real warden. A dev confirmed the "false warden" theory was scrapped.

my theory is that Therokis was drunk and decided to steal all the wardens mask even Novus warden to because it decided that it selfishly wanted the power of the wardens. :> though for serious I feel like the vault holds an unknown powerful beast that's planning with another creature that stitched Novus back together and lie to it so they can use Novus to undo the vault why well the unknown beast is probably planning on trying to take over creature's of Sonaria once again after its first unknown lost too the wardens and Novus or in my second theory that the unknown creature had created Novus warden in order to cling on and take some of the other wardens ability's if the wardens are able to give energy wouldn't it make sense that they can easily effect organism too with their power? and so after getting the Novus to collect some syphon some energy out of the wardens and made replicas of the wardens mask before the wardens catch on to Novus ideals so they chain it down and left it in the water to never be remember as the warden who betrayed.

1. Sar is said to be feared by wardens, so it could be Sar 2. Like the wardens, Valkarie has a mask, but it is not classified as a warden and does not have wardens rage. It was in the LSS event along with Novus 3. Novus is all terrain and omnivorous , we also know that it can only be obtainable through the LSS event, and it is the rarest of wardens, but all wardens are said to be rare. A creature could've been hunting the wardens, mainly Novus because it was found everywhere because it was all terrain. It could've taken the skins of the Novus and sown it together and pretended to be Novus. Throughout the years the fake Novus killed many of the wardens and the remaining wardens drove out the fake and declared Novus as a "false"
