Unpopular opinion: Jessica is the most relatable girl on the show for those of us who weren't the most confident growing up and had self esteem issues. We all were young and stupid once and I don't see why they keep making a big deal that she was with Jason for a few months when she was only a teen at the time. Most teenage boys were idiots, and it took time for many girls to develop their voice and stand up for themselves. Maybe a bit too deep for a rewatch podcast but hey ho!

Very true, I was wondering if Kristin would touch on that topic. I think once they have her on, they’ll dive deeper into her low self esteem in HS. Most girls were more of a Jessica, rather Kristin whom seemed to have more of a grip on her confidence. I always wanted to tell the younger Jessica, “who told you you weren’t good enough?” She was so naturally pretty, but it only goes to show true confidence must show up on the inside first.

I think it’s a bit of both. He truly cared and liked Kristin, and LC was his rebound/placeholder when he wanted some easy affection. It showed in the show, and he nicely explains it in the podcast, being very careful not to hurt LC’s feelings.

Next episode Talan asks Lauren how her Valentine’s Day was and after Lauren gives a smitten response he then tells her that Stephen went to dinner with Kristin right before. Stephen knew what he was doing. He likes to place blame all on MTV/editing but it was clear he was happy playing both sides

C'mon, sir, apologize to that woman in front of you like she's apologized to YOU on MULITPLE OCCASIONS! Why is that so difficult? WHY do you get to laugh at your two-timing? Anyways, it was nice to see you finally admit to how you felt back then. Those are my fave episodes because you should always enjoy the love you had at one time not say awful things to that lover in front of you when you're friends now. Kristin is a saint to put up with this attitude especially considering we STILL don't know what happened in San Fran with you and stage-five clinger (c'mon just say you HOOKED UP with LC once and for all). You don't have to go into detail, but you could at least admit to it. This is why I was never mad at Kristin for dating the way she wanted to. Everybody was calling her the player but Stephen was playing just as much, if not more. He was always *actively* running between Kristin and Lauren to keep both of them on the hook. But God forbid Kristin even looked in another guy’s direction, then Stephen’s feelings were hurt and he was ready for the get-back.

Yes, sarcasm, Jessica was extremely intelligent in school and they advanced her up a year. As a kid she was as intelligent as kids couple years older so her sarcasm will be missed by the not so sharp amongst us. If you recall her run in with Lauren at the Fight the Slide event when Lauren slays her for sitting on Jason's lap and tells her to fix her own hair and makeup, Jessica replies with dripping sarcasm! Also Jessica dated a guy called Mike before dating Dieter/Jason and was devastated when Mike broke up with her out of the blue. Alex Hooser consoled her as they were bffs but when Jessica saw Alex Hooser with Mike shortly after she was shocked and she and Alex H broke off their friendship for a long time afterwards, lol!

Jason may have changed but back during these times, he was a classic example of a gas lighter. It was horrible how he treated not only Jessica, but Alex and Lauren as well. The gas lighting on these shows are hard to watch. Glad he has changed and did the work.
