Great reaction. I'll see if I can add to the info you had in your pop-ups(and hopefully not repeat too much of it). When the song first came out a lot of people really didn't like it - the studio version has a lot of autotune and effects and a lot of those people thought they would and could not perform it live. They were happily proved very wrong. I saw them do this at Hammersmith, London and they took the roof off (what was left of it after the first few songs).🤘 This is what Su said about it in an interview: SU-METAL: That was my first rap experience. For most of my recordings up until now, I would sing “la la laa” to create a sort of vocal line, and then lyric writing began based on that. But it was different for this track, they had a backing track and lyrics, and then told me to try rapping. So at first I was still trying to figure it out. In hiphop they call it…it was like…ah, I forget! MOAMETAL: Wasn’t it…f-…fall? SU-METAL: Uh…what was it… KOBAMETAL: Flow? SU-METAL: Flow! (laughs) To get a feel for the flow, I made a lot of different attempts to figure out what would be good. Like how to descend and ascend in pitch, and which timing would be the best to try the pitch changes. Even for the same phrase I’d try going a little ahead of the beat or a little bit behind it, while keeping the whole track’s balance in mind." As you know now, BMC probably means BABYMETAL Cypher (or BABYMETAL Metal Cypher ... a cypher being some sort of rap battle apparently and the official MV backs this up), but some of us are still holding out for Bring Moa Chicken.🍗 In another interview the first question: Q: "How are you feeling right now?" MOA: "Hungry, I need to eat fried chickens".

Good one, thanks! "BxMxC" probably stands for BABYMETAL Cypher (or BABYMETAL Metal Cypher)... but we prefer Bring Moa Chicken. 🤣 No, really, she loves food and she always makes sure everyone knows. I was quite skeptical when the studio version first came out. Not much into hip-hop (basically at all) and even less into voice effects (and the studio version has a lot)... BUT then I listened to the live performance from Legend Metal Galaxy and I had to change my mind. Su-metal kills it live, the Kami Band sounds brutally heavy and the choreo is absolutely badass. Lesson learned! Not to mention that this version from Legend-MM is probably the best, with Su-metal playing with her voice even more than usual. Definitely, Legend-MM were two great shows in so many levels and I love them for so many reasons. 😁 🤘🦊

The Legend MM has become my favorite live show (I would have given a damn to be there)! But I'm from team Momoko, so I'm biased...
@road-runner25 күн бұрын
@@fabioc.9404 It was incredible, easily the best live experience in my life. But I'm biassed because it was my first time in Japan and I met there many amazing kitsune mates. 😊
If you need English subtitles, I recommend the "For The Fox God" channel as a Japanese person. I won't go into the reasons why, but there is a reason for the large number of subscribers to the channel.

I can't say anything without first complementing your Halloween aesthetic. Very nice! Fun reaction, do love the info posting along with the reaction. Su taught herself to rap specifically to do this song. Her vocal creativity seems to grow and expand with each new performance of this song. This one IMHO the best so far. Her singing is so wonderfully unique. Thanks to Vocal for all the great requests of late.

Some BabyMetal videos I need eng subs. But for me this video doesn't need that. Because I've been listening to Su-metal vocal inflections, acapella, and instrumentals. Thanks for your great reaction.

Great reaction friend 🔥🤘🦊🤘🔥 This song exposes the reality of genres within music. The end of the song is a good example as it's a hip-hop style song being performed with instruments, playing techniques, and attitude of a heavy metal band. The kick drum adding those double kick embellishments make it sound massive 💥🎸🥁 🎸💥

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。Kami Band is an amazing squad with musical virtuosity. Chris, CJ, Anthony, Clint (and Ryan) have been dedicating their energy to BABYMETAL's international activities (including in Japan) long and extensive enough to be called as "our" band. They are amazing knights to protect our queen and princesses.❤ BxMxC is one of the songs that have been frequently played in BM's recent shows. I witnessed this very performance in Legend-MM Day-1 (20 Night). Su's voice and Kamis' heavy play were amazing. My body was shaken by the undulation caused by them. And the dance moves by Moa and Momo hypnotized me into shouting. Su-Metal is singing about some established style that used to be revolutionary and literally "stylish" but has turned already obsolete like an "Illusion of Rusted Chain" (last line of Su's rapping). Lyrics are suggesting breakthrough in or challenge to some status-quo that includes the status of BM itself. We all know that Team BABYMETAL and our three divas have broken it relentlessly. 😍

BM songs usually require a lot of crowd participation, but this one involves only chanting the song title lol. (I should know, having experienced the live version back in August.) The audience is typically left speechless the rest of the way, at the sight of Su impressively 'spitting fire' (intensity & emotional delivery) & 'dropping bars' (technical skill & lyrical rhyming). Incidentally, BxMxC is BM's 'meta' (self-referential) take on trap metal (rather than rap metal per se) done in a 'cypher' style (old hiphop slang for freestyle rap battle). The MV also saw BM reviving their Tenkaichi Metal Budokai (Metal Martial Arts Contest) theme again. The concept had first debuted live at Red Night Budokan 2014 (aka Giant Corset Festival, a title that was connected to their first-ever solo gig aka Legend Corset Festival in 2012). This time around, Kobametal said the video creators were inspired by the rap battles in the movie 8 Mile as well as the Abema TV online series Freesyle Dungeon. They re-tweaked those ideas to have, as depicted in the MV, Su & Moa enter a cyber-Tenkaichi Metal Budokai (rap battle venue), defeat several metal gatekeepers (monsters), overcome the final boss, & triumphantly enthroned to cheering followers (a la the anarchic ending of 2019's The Joker movie). Similar plotlines (heretics/rebels fighting & winning against the big bad mainstream) were explored in the IDZ & Karate MVs. In 2023, they would also go on to guest-feature for Lil Uzi Vert (a very avant-garde rapper who is versed in trap music amongst other genres) on the song 'The End'. The album it was included in (Pink Tape) went on to debut at the top of the Billboard charts. Thus BM at least nailed at headhunting collaboration partners again, even though the tune itself is deemed too outlandish even for receptive BM fans (& yet to be performed live as solo or together).

BxMxC always goes incredibly hard when they play it live. The live version is a lot heavier than the studio recording, and the way Su-metal delivers vocals live is always impressive. #request My request suggestion for Babymetal is "Yava!" Not my fav version of BMC - the descending part on the last part of the chorus doesn't work for me (it sounds vaguely Donald Duck like to me for some reason :P) - but still a brilliant track. Good reaction to a great live track!

Fun fact: This song also featured the 9 string guitars that ESP put out in partnership with BabyMetal during the Metal Galaxy album release. They are the E-II MF-9 Metal Galaxy. They were a limited edition run. There are promo shots of Su and Moa holding a pair of them that had been used in the previous nights show.
