Great time to be heading south. I had three of those life ring holders on my Carver, one on each side and one on the back. For the biggest part they are usually just decorations but when needed they are life saving throw rings. Hopefully all you will ever use it for is decorations. I never have had to use one. I really like the inside of your boat. It’s very simplistic and well laid out. How long are you guys going to be down south? Your gonna love it and with a boat like yours it’s gonna be even more awesome. I look forward to seeing your videos. Ashley works like a beast but looks like an Angel.

Barefoot Sailing Adventures I had a 3396 Mariner and it was a beast. I loved it and miss it daily. I really like your boats layout. Easy to move around in and you don’t have to be a contortionist just to change a fuse.

That is for a USCG type IV throwable device. Required on all vessels over 16 feet. All flotation devices must be readily available. (Not stored in a locker)

what is your water ballast tank made of. i had a water ballasted sailboat and the ballast tank was made of marine plywood. great sailboat but the only problem is that the ballast tank fails after years of useage, and sailing a boat w/ afailed ballast tank is not a good idea. just curious if you know haw the ballast tank is constructed. fiberglass is good wood is not so good but can be repaired. i'll be in florida in february, in the miami area. happy new year to you both!

The ballast is fiberglass. Molded as part of the boat. A bit scary though. Especially the first time we opened the flood gates. Running around looking for leaks 😬
