Great ride going up to Brasstown. The problem I encountered going up there is when I got stuck behind a VERY slow moving motor home. Being a relatively new rider, it was a challenge riding that slowly up steep curves. Hey, but I made it and improved my slow riding skills. Well worth the ride. On the other hand, I've ridden all over N. Georgia, but Bell Mountain is the one road I won't ride with my limited riding skills. I've been up there in a cage, and that's as much as I'll do. Happy travels to brave souls who venture up there on a motorcycle -- it really is steeper than it appears in this video.

These are my weekend jaunts in Oct along with Cherohala and Joyce Kilmer...about 1hr to 90 minutes away. Very good ride choices. Oh, for motourers, there are TVA free camp sites on Lake Chatgue... no facilities so bring a gallon of water, tp and a trowel. City of Hiawassee is my favorite riding city since the lake spreads out on either side of downtown with mountains behind in 360. Another pairing with Basstown Bald is to go south on 17 toward Helen and pick up the skyway back toward Vogel/Suches. Stop at Hogpen Gap overlook just past the AT crossing to look out at Brasstown Bald tower. The best motorcycle road in the area.

Been to the Bald once, spent a couple nights at Amicola Falls lodge and checked out the north Georgia area, pretty nice. For the view from Bell, I might put that big tourer up that hill 😝

I’ve lived and ridden in N GA for more than 20 years and never stopped at Bell in all the times I’ve gone through Hiawassee. I’ll have to fix that in the Spring.

It's not all that well known. The ride up is a hoot.

The view from Bell Mountain is reported to be "The grandest view in the country." Shake Rag was recently repaved from the lower gate up to the top. I took my FrankenShadow up there about a week ago and nearly got myself bit by a copperhead!

Bell Mountain road looks hairy, Is that road passable for cars going up and down? What`s up with the graffiti? Up here in the Northeast, People don`t deface property like that. Not sure I`m brave enough to ride my wife up the skinny road on our Victory touring bike , Yikes. What a view! Thanks for the great video😎

It used to be a local's party spot. Cars and bikes can make the road, it is steep.

Bell mnt is a great place to visit. We were amazed at the graffiti and trash inconsiderate people had left behind.

Bell mountain view was beautiful, but all the graffiti ruins it. People suck...
