Another fine time with Josh, Trim, and the Sydney Raiders. Cheers and fair winds from Japan.

Lovely video mate, still very envious of those lakes you have down there. The Mizzen on those Drascombes are amazing sails, but they can give you weather helm if you're not careful. They can broach the boat when reaching and stop you tacking in the wrong weather but when you get the hang of them you find they're a brilliant idea thats got lost over the years in the manic "Bermuda" rig scene!!

Great vidio Josh. I liked the tour of your boat. Perhaps you could cover some of the others. I liked looking at the Cherry as i built one and sailed on the lakes in the Rotorua districts in N.Z,

Good idea Ken. I am a bit funny about filming other people and getting up in their face - I believe Sailing Kate Louise does a better job of interviewing people and filming boats in general. Cheers.

Looks great, I must visit Myall Lakes next time you have a Sydney Raid event. I guess sailing is off the plans for a little while for you guys. Thoughts are with you all. We'll have our turn at La Nina in Brisbane soon enough I suppose

Thanks for the cockpit tour, lots of storage space. My dinghy falls to leward too in light air, kinda weird.

Must be lack of flow over the centreboard. Thanks for your comments, take care. Josh
@olivei24842 жыл бұрын
@@DinghyCruisingTrim Hmm, maybe I could lift centreboard about a third to shift centre of draft(? effort) aft. Have to try something.

Another great video. You mentioned a mast float in this video. What are you using? I can see it, but wondering what type, size and installation process?
@thebrizrobbo2 жыл бұрын
Hiya. Also interested to know more about this. Maybe a "special" video, by "popular demand" :).
@DinghyCruisingTrim2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kim. Trim has an aluminium mast, with halyards running inside it - it will therefor sink quite quickly I imagine. The mast float is a 10 litre inflatable mast float made of some kind of durable fabric. I have added some carabiners to clip it on, and some stirrups to the mast. I will do a close up of it when I next go out. Cheers, Josh

argh! I saw a TS16 being SAILED solo. . I NEED to know how. I sail a TS16 and always have two up.

Ollie had that boat on its rail at one point. He never looked flustered or reduced sail.
