This was a fun adventure! I was a summer deputy for the Valley county sheriff's department in 1983 and I patrolled the Fort Peck Dam and surrounding areas. Lots of fun and it was helpful that I spent a lot of years camping and fishing that area. Thanks for the chance to remember.

I just have to share our story of Glasgow. We were on our way back home from family in WI and MN and I didn’t want to take the 94 again (remember my fam is from ND) so thought we could take the 2. It also gave us the opportunity to go to the aviation museum in Minot. So, little did we realize that they were doing construction on the 2 and RVs weren’t advised. And I’m driving. Got some stares from the construction workers that inferred, “What the hell are you doing here?!?” But we made it just fine to Glasgow. The next day we were going to go out to the lake but it rained cats and dogs so unfortunately it was a dvd day. The next day we had to take off for Great Falls as I was still working. Preparing to leave I FELL off the RV steps and injured my knee! Holy crap, what a mess. So thank you for the positive experience. Now I want to go back!

Enjoyed your video. Just a suggestion, most folks call 'Public Lands' BLM land. Technically, BLM land is incorrect. They are 640,000,000 wonderful glorious acres mostly in the West that are owned by all Americans; you and me. They are indeed 'Public Lands'. BLM only manages this land for us. Enjoy them while you can because there is an ongoing attempt to privatize all of our 'Public Lands'. To learn more, Google 'the privatization of Public Lands'. Please consider voting AGAINST these folks who want to take them away from us. It's no joke!
@GrandAdventure
@GrandAdventure 2 жыл бұрын
You're of course correct. Of course as well, it is also correct that "public lands" includes too National Forest lands, National Parks, DoD-managed land, state lands, and others. Referring to those lands as BLM, as opposed to USFS for example, differentiates between the two.
