Thank you... I've got a load of footage to edit, just trying to find the time. Next one is Mickle Fell, and then it is the section where I met you on the opening day... looking forward to editing that video. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment... really appreciated. Take care, Alice.

Nice waterfall on the way up to the Fort and agree, real nice views from the top and it is only when you see the satellite image you can see the outline of the fort so distinctly. Loved the old church and amazing history from there good that you were able to go in. Never heard of that castle before but if I did have a spare £2M I would be interested! Super clear footage over the Cheviots and you must have plenty of videos in hand if you are just putting out June videos now mind. Great scenery, especially with all the bright yellow rapeseed fields, cheers Alan

Aye, I've got two more Grand Tour walks and a mountain walk to edit, all from June. The next section I meet Emz, I am looking forward to editing that footage. I didn't get out much over the summer months, I was working overtime on weekends during July, and had a lot to deal with in August but took some short bits of footage when on holiday near Falkirk, plus my car fell to bits on the week before my holiday, so had to hire a car from the airport which was more expensive than the entire holiday... I get my new car on Friday. Hopefully will be back out soon, I am penciling in next Sunday or the Sunday after. Not sure when I am going to get the next section edited though, I am trying to apply for promotion at the moment, plus I am doing a lot of voluntary work; I might try and get the summit hike done next because they're always a lot easier to edit than the Grand Tour. Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate it. Take care, Alice.

Thank you Peter... I've not been out hiking in ages primarily because work is super busy but I have 2 more episodes of the Grand Tour filmed back in June to edit, a video I am editing now on one of the Durham significant tops, and a handful of small videos from a trip to Scotland in August. Just really struggling to find the time. But thank you for the greetings. I hope you are doing well yourself and a Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year.

What are the yellow patches of land?
@NorthernWayfarer-Alice

The dark yellow on the hills are gorse flowers and the bright yellow in the fields are rapeseed flowers (for producing rapeseed/vegetable oil, animal feed, and bio-fuel).

Superb video Alice really enjoyed it. Worth the wait that's for sure. Always amazes me just how busy these now vastly remote places must have been. Love it. Btw what mic is that one you use? Cheers

Thank you. Yeh, all these areas that we consider remote today were once full of people. I always wonder what they did for water because none of the hillforts have a water source, did they collect rain water or was it the job of the children to travel to the stream and bring water back several times a day. I am currently using a Sony ECMCS3 mic... I find it picks up a lot of the rustling of my jacket and a bit of static background noise; plus it amplifies my breathing to make it sound like I am massively unfit. Sadly, a new microphone is way down my list of priorities for spending money right now and the Sony mic does ok. Take care, Alice.
