This was remarkable and... the greatest takeaway for me is that this is slowly opening up within me a persistent nagging concern: although I know it's silly, I keep sensing a subconscious judgment of the "lesser things", the local forces and sensations, as if they are "lower" than the absolute. I know of course that such thinking (and it is thinking...Just silly thoughts and judgments) is wrong and inaccurate. I know everything is the absolute, it's all one truth, but not a conceptual one. But untying that knot on a more profound level is hard for me. This interview helped me to affirm that it is perfectly viable to remain with local forces and sensations and explore that. Once again, I already "knew" that but... I need to KNOW it. Deep down. Getting there slowly. Because I reeaaaally love the local forces and sensations so I want to explore them. ❤

Great podcast! Love the idea of a functional narrative of the reality of the spirit world. Read about this in an anthropology book years ago and was fascinated. One of my early Indian yoga teachers who grew up in Trinidad used to speak about how this was the accepted reality within the culture.

@@christopherwallis751 BTW as an American who studied in university in London, then lived underground. While Oxford may not be "the man", you are certainly kinder than many Oxford students whom repeatedly told me should not be seen drinking with them, before following me to the psychedelic party that me and commoners organized in a warehouse with celebrity artists and whose profits went to charity. I am proud to have a friendly person from the Northwest with your heart, patience and passion teaching the Bourgeoisie. LOL Don't forget you are one of us, wait we are all one. alright enough ranting, I am stuck in Charlotte, NC and bored sorry. (down Ego down) Ego is my border collie's name. Infinite love Alan.

This is, by far, one of the most engaging, clarifying, and oddly practical discourses on tantric egregores I’ve encountered! No wonder- being between by two of my favorite teachers! I am excited for future collaborations between you. ✨🌸✨🙏

Thank you very much! Really interesting and inspiring. Somehow i've watched in the middle of the podcast (cause i needed a rest from intensity) the Satyajit Ray's "Devi ". Very surprising coincidence, cause it fits perfectly into the topic of posession by Goddess!

I really enjoyed the conversation. In my experience, it is commonplace to hear discussions about animism in the world of shamanism, but it has been lacking in Tantrik/yoga circles. Even though talk about gods and goddesses is commonplace, they seem to be represented in an exalted state that is not rooted in the literal ground of being. It was if the animistic roots were being left behind and only hinted at in the fragments and rare mentioning of animal headed yoginis.

So many of what you both talk here i have had the thought of. I am from Ecuador and the Ayahuasca escene here sometimes reflects of what is talked here. People not doing the work, possesion beacuase of the place you migth be in a ceremony.

Great conversation! Great articulation about the "second ecology" from a seasoned Western mystic here: "Subtle Worlds: An Explorer's Field Notes", David Spangler "This amazing book chronicles sixty plus years of a modern mystic's experience of the subtle worlds of spirit. Taking the attitude of a field biologist David Spangler shares his rich experience and wisdom gleaned from encountering Angels, post-mortem realms, Spiritual Forces, Inner Mentors, Elementals, and other inhabitants of our natural "second ecology". He makes the case that for humanity to be healthy and whole and able to meet the global challenges before us, we need to appreciate and engage these rich and fascinating "energy" environments and the potential allies who live within them."

The air spirits. It sounds crazy to have a grandma afraid of night air, until you meet a human that carries a specific smell that you also smell when you are not in contact with them, but spiritual manipulation is happening. Something like hot garbage truck juice.

Wow, thanks for this. I'm about 23 minutes in and I'll probably pop in again to add perspective. I have seen the monad with humans, though i don't know if it's a natural state or manipulation or anchor of some sort. But it'll stack them hierarchical regardless of time or distance. It might be strategically placed Python code to hold people in captivity for political reasons. So Rudolph hess was imprisoned and after death hes been mistaken for Rudolph hoss. Then the human rights lawyer is imprisoned by Chevron and hess is acquired by Chevron, then Chevron doctrine is overthrown. Julian assange is imprisoned for telling the truth, and so am i. I'm a nobody, but up the hierarchy they are increasingly effective and dangerous to narrative.
