A hectic final few days on site ends with amazing results. Builder Stan Scott reflects on what he’s made and wonders if the New Zealand public will give the Mitre 10 Tiny House a thumbs up.

Uncle Owen, this one has a bad motivator. Excuse me sir that R2 unit is in very good condition, I've worked with him before.

Is there no insulation in the floor, or protection of the underside of the floor ply from water on the roads?

I was wondering...just an idea...since isulation is soo important for cold days...when you do your house ...could it be a good idea to try to think of a possibility to put a warming of sole kind in the walls to help to heater i side and not to have to count up to a certain point the heat inside ..let say to put it out of freezing point when your not there?...i really appreciate your construction ways ... and also does tiny houses have a Ay to not be on the wheels while they are stationed somewhere?...

George or Stan, do you guys have plans available for this Tiny House Build? It would help so much to an intermediate DIYer like me :) If you can post a link it would be awesome!

They have electric Power in New Zealand ? Wow.... ^^ Despite of that, i am angry about this "Mammut Insulation" ! I want to have this Stuff, but here on the other Side of the world ?

Nice project but the composting toilet is going to cause issues for any council and people will not understand the full implications of it.

that loft is really small, it looks like even a short person would hit their head sitting up in it.

It’s not meant to be high. ‘Tiny House’.

@@michelekett8450 I've seen hundreds of tiny houses and most of them, the ones that are well designed, will let you SIT UP IN BED! This one: Not so much.

Angie Krajewski do you mean insulation?
@angiekrajewski64196 жыл бұрын
Kaylee Toews yes. Sorry...
@bernhardmichaelfux3086 жыл бұрын
The original Spelling is "Isolation" without this "n" inserted. The Root is tha Latin Word "isolation". The "n" was inserted by englishmen, for what Reason ever ;-) we don`t know . ^^

HOW About the LAWS starting to go against people living in TINY HOUSES? The population should reassemble together and create by thousands, tiny houses in just one single area, creating a new town of more humble people but courageous, with a new way of life with clean, non-polluting principles and be an example to being followed for the rest of the world and have the media backing this up.

Heavy timber framing? Doesn't NZ have a 2.5 ton limit? Insulation batts aren't the only way to go.

sharp design, but I don't like the whitewash look in the interior... JUST MY TASTE, LOOKS TO MUCH LIKE REGULAR PLYWOOD!!!!!!!
@kaiserzozzet62485 жыл бұрын
these people seem to build exhibitors NO DURABLE HOUSES ,,, NAILS, AND TAPE IN ELECTRICAL UNIONS? '' but it looks like a fairground barrack ,,,,,, UMMMM, they lack some good lateral arms, FOR THE WINDS, but when the bed is used ,,, do not see the electrical and water connections to the network, supports so that the sustentation does not depend on the tires, for when use fixed ,,,, remember ,, SOPLARE, SOPLARE SAID THE WOLF

Choosing the kitchen: "The reason I'm using this range is because ..." mentions nothing about weight. And why not get an interior designer to do this part, instead of the BUILDER? There's a huge lack of respect for qualified trades in this show.
