The deck with the skirt helps the footprint of the house look much larger and provides a lot of outdoor living space. I really like this home. I've admired that small round sink, but never cared for how it was installed like a vessel. Setting it into the counter makes the surround much more usable.

Great house. How does the ladder comply with the building code? I thought a ladder can only be used for access to a storage loft.

Yeah interesting question. When a home is one wheels they don't have to worry about lofts or stair rules. That ceiling height would probably classify that space as a storage loft, not a legal bedroom. Although that doesn't technically stop them from using it that way.

Yes its cool but I doubt it would have been a large additional cost to add a second bedroom for the toddler or guests on the ground floor.

Judging by the materials and the positioning of the house, they can just simply buy a decently sized modern house, or build one, when the time comes. This wasnt built to save money, it was built to fulfill a dream.

i'd like to know how culvert it works , and how about the strenght of wood If exposed to water whether it will be fragile or so on and how he get the electricity ... but i like it so much love it ... but add the fireplace outside the house it would be great

Needs an interior staircase to the bedroom and to the deck...what's behind the large white panel in the kitchen, to the left of the pullout cupboard, could be for a pull down Murphy bed...and the outside wooden deck is way too much wood and not enough stone...how much did it cost?

When I first saw it from the outside, I just assumed it had a staircase. It looked large enough to accommodate one. I guess they opted for more floor space / less storage. To each her/his own though I would opt for a staircase, myownself.

I think it would be more like $50.000 U.S especially due to the supports that you must use so the house can be stable...The toilette alone cost above $500.00 and the overall bathroom reaches a nice $16, 000.00 .Well it looks absolutely amazing...BUT if you dare to ask any company to build such thing with well isolated and soundproof walls, you will end up paying nearly $300, 000.00

Absolutely beautiful and very clever design, and with two little kids, very brave. But honestly, the major thing about this tiny house other than, like the Tardis in Dr Who, the inside looks much bigger then the outside, is the fact that as the children grow, so can the house. Actually, the parents can get very clever as their children start hitting that stroppy stage, they can build the children an annexe to live in that’s separated from the house... just an idea. I’m close to my sister and her brood, but honestly when they began their stroppy years, I wanted to move away, and thankfully she did to the other side of London with her demonic kids. Seriously, children are only lovely and sweet while you’re still wiping their butts, they are truly horrible people when they are young adults and think that they know everything. So, the separate annexe is likely a very good idea
