The England team have arrived in Australia ahead of the Women’s Ashes, and with the opening game coming up this weekend, I’ve got a feast of Ashes chat for you throughout the week.
To start the series today’s guest is someone who knows a thing or two about the fierce clashes between England and Australia. Jane Powell, now President of Yorkshire County Cricket Club, has both played and coached England against Australia.
Jane begins this episode by reflecting on her current role as President of Yorkshire before recalling her Test debut for England against the Aussies in 1985 and her time coaching England in the 2002/03 Ashes series.
There’s no one more passionate about cricket than Jane, so sit back and enjoy 30 minutes of cricketing insight and some amusing stories as she looks back on her playing and coaching days against Australia.
You’re in for a treat!
