A lesser show would not be having the tough conversations. Thanks for being one of the greater ones ;)

I love in this episode when Randall tells Deja’s mom, Don’t get it twisted, sis, I wake up next to a head scarf and coconut oil….

@@michelenelson3513 YES!! Oh, my gosh, that moment. I had to watch him say that again & again. The way he didn't miss a beat & said it with such passion. 👏👏

@stephaniecoles2138 Hmmm, good point. I didn't think so at the time (or maybe I felt that it wasn't a big deal because I think a lot of people can easily do that), but I acknowledge your comment. I'm going to watch it again anyway, & I definitely want to see that part again. 👍👍

That monologue of William in the courtroom on how HE is the most disappointed man in the world, I mean what a tone started for a beautiful episode ❤️❤️
@PolkaDots788Күн бұрын
William's words in the courtroom, the judge giving him a break later, the timing of Randall going to meet William for the 1st time, Rebecca telling the adoption judge what's what (& sending him a family picture with a powerful note), the two judges talking to each other at the end, whoa!!! 🎉🎉❤

This episode is quintessential TIU. because of episodes like this I will always recommend this show. The way the challenge the audiences expectations and assumptions through the lens of the characters is exceptional

I have to say thank you again for this rewatch podcast. I am so loving rewatching this show knowing I'll get this after each episode. The dialogue about the episode is so meaningful. And I was telling my husband today. What other show really warrants this? I honestly have a hard time coming up with one. But this show - YES!! There is so much to unpack. And I really think that during this series someone will find something that they will relate to. In my case a mom with dementia.

Sam Anderson is famous for playing Bernard on LOST. He was married to Rose who had breast cancer . The island healed her so they never left. They lived in their own paradise. It was their great love story❤🎉 And that's how I remember him. He was in at least 10 episodes maybe more. Great character!

When Sully said, "its like being a New Yorker", I said out loud you know it! We go through so much in this city that you have to block out things in order to just function

The actor who plays that judge who asked William to look at his ugly mug-was also in Forrest Gump and he was on 20 episodes of ER
@bellaventimiglia35Күн бұрын
I was hoping they would mention that he was on ER bc that's where I recognized him from, plus they had just mentioned the actress who was on ER. (***ER had amazing actors both in their main cast AND guest stars, many of whom went on to have very successful careers!) This actor now plays Kathy Bates' husband in the new Matlock series...older but still recognizable.

THANK YOU for this podcast ❤ It truly is incredible being able to hear a discussion about each episode from each of the actor's perspective 😊 They are all such a delight and have heartfelt comments ❤❤❤ The scenes with William and The Judge really impacted me ❤ 😭 I loved how he visualized the Judge whenever he found himself wanting to slip back into his addiction. It really motivated me to focus on those that care about me and become a better person myself ❤

As Mr. Sullivan points out the writing on this show could be quite deft. And it absolutely could. As well as astute, heart breaking and all manner of wonderful adjectives. Sadly, it could also be extremely ham fisted and tin eared. There was so much to really love about this show. But there were also things that were really annoying. It will be interesting to hear Mr. Sullivans thoughts on the direction of Toby by the time the show ended.
