i'm 53 now, and as a kid when some one called you a Nimrod, it was a term to signify lack of intelligence and/or wisdom in a course of action (edit: one of the reasons to disperse the people of Babylon was that it went against the original command to go and subdue, or tame the land(not destroy it) and be peaceful. Nimrod was an active opposer of God which was another reason why God dispersed the people)
