I'm so happy to have found this video. I gathered a pile of junkyard kits and was thinking about bashing them together. Now I know what I'm looking at!

WOW! I never knew the details of these cars. I thought they were all custom built, to NASCAR specs. Great info.

Great information ! I also use the AMT NASCAR chassis on dirt cars and short track cars. Just a little/minor modification here and there, but I love building cars that run on Friday nights and the local tracks !

I have an itch! More content! You make this channel likes it’s a damn suspenseful tv show with there always being damn cliff hangers! I feel the need to build but build as I am watching and rewatching your videos on the 66 Malibu. I can only watch them so many times before I can recite the entire episode back to you. Haha. Please more content. Love the how to’s

Thanks for your support. I do my best to get the content out there. I do what i can. An average video can take up to 10 to 12 hours to produce. And can span over days to film. I also work a full time job the works me all over the clock and very hard. I also have a few other interests that i would like to focus on. Like the fact that my 88 Mustang GT has been in pieces for most of the year because i put it aside to make these videos. I do this all out of the enjoyment of the hobby and the making of videos. There is no pay. If there was and i could make a living at this. You would get 4 to 5 videos a week from me. LOL.

I got into NASCAR (Winston Cup, of course) in the late 70s and I built many of these kits. Great tip on the chassis swap, will have to give this a try, thx. Btw, loving the outtakes - lol

On Chassis swap, Non NASCAR I put the 53 Studebaker body on a 2000 Corvette Z06 chassis. Only had to rework the rear wheel wells.

Thanks Luka... Very informative, I was not aware of the chassis difference to these cars in the 80's! I like to use the banjo chassis for my short track stockcars. You have to modify them a bit, however they're much better for the way the short track guys would build their cars. PLUS, they're just MUCH better looking in my opinion.... Can't wait to see you do a short track car in the future!

thanks luka a lot of people would be suprised how interchangeable the stock cars i mean the drive on monday cars like the fact pontiac used ford top loader 4 speeds and dodge copied the 9 inch to get 8 3/4 and chevy and ford both wanted to copy the hemi

If you're into building oddball stuff, the AMT/MPC 1/25 Dodge Monaco cop car body fits over the 1/24 Banjo chassis almost perfectly.

Did any of Dale Sr's cars other than the Tbirds run the Banjo chassis?
@TheLukaCeeChannel Жыл бұрын
Just about every team he was on. Some of the cars were Banjo rear steer. Up to about 1993-94. Dale liked the rear steer on the short tracks.

These are primarily what I build. I can tell you that the ford rear end housing and suspension are difficult to get to sit correctly and irritating sometimes. The gm are great and can be lowered easily. Just hollow out the hole in the rear of the wheel slightly egg shaped

Ive done that. But there is a very easy, better and more accurate way. Comming soon in another MCHH episode.
