Funny thing, in Finland the post office has been dying for a few years. They don't deliver on every workday anymore, prices are climbing, post offices shut down and moved to small stores as a desk. Their reliability is also all over the place, your packages sometimes travel everywhere or get lost. Although they do still do parcels (usually you collect it at the outlet in the store) and that's doing better, but regular mail is dying, letters and such. Courier companies are doing fine I believe. This was a great talk. Very interesting topics, being an entrepreneur, modern challenges, ancient arts. Having a blast watching all these old episodes I've missed over the years as you guys have probably noticed :) Thanks a lot for these, my favourite show to listen to while say playing a video game. These also make me realize how all these guys just happened to meet people and learn things and it worked out somehow (it could've been a different career path), and it boggles my mind how different today feels. People with internet spend so much time inside and today you kinda need the graduation paper to get hired unless you got a job that trains you before you hit like 20, that it's very easy to get isolated from society.

Huge Keeley fan here. Have several different pedals of theirs. They offered to fix a pedal I acquired on the used market after I reached out to ask about a part. I couldn’t believe it, they sort of insisted as a courtesy and I just can’t thank them enough.

Great show as usual guys, Robert Keeley is one funny dude. You should try and do more to promote the show and let people know what time your going live. You always have such great conversations with really cool people from the industry. There’s no reason this channel shouldn’t be top of the youtube guitar game!

Another great show and must mention again how much I like the long casual format...so much content, especially on TV but also on the web seems to rush through interviews and nothing of much value is heard.

The VanHalen tone is something. I bought that record when it first came out even though I didn't have a turntable. It seemed like it was my generation's "are you experienced".

Great episode guys! I always love to hear what Robert Keeley has to say, good knowledge, good fun and he always seems to have a smile to his words :) Btw, my Keeley Comp Plus having a tone knob is pure genius and having the hum/single switch has saved me so much time switching guitars! Keep’em coming guys! \m/

Just want you to know this episode made me aware of the Keeley double tracker. Jumped off the show to listen to it. I bought one immediately. It has the sound i have been searching for for years. Love this pedal. Thanks

For the Van Halen Pedal, it would have to be Echoplex Delay into Drive, Phase/Flange switch, Brown sound drive (with cardiac switch). Most people have a Reverb Pedal.

Talk about 2 titans of the industry. Aside from a few modulation pedals almost all of my pedals are Keeley, the guy is just so great at what he does. And while I don’t have any Friedman products yet perhaps in the new year an amp will come along for me. I believe that the Internet has made us smarter the knowledge retention has gone by the wayside. There are a few of us tradesmen around from the younger generation I make a pretty decent living just on my friends homes alone. Cheers to the three of you an Merry Christmas.

I have a bunch of Keeley germanium fuzz pedals: Charing Cross, Royal Blues OC44, Fuzz Head OC44, Black Silk Mullard OC75, Black Glass OC44 All Germanium, more ... Started with a modded DS-1 and BD-2. Now have a pile of around 40 Keeley pedals of all sorts I see a Milkman amp lurking in the background. Cool.

Here's an idea, how about a Distortion/Overdrive pedal which is touch-sensitive? A bit like the auto-wah, you play hard and it's crunchy, then as the note decays, it ramps up the gain, so it sings off into feedback. And it should be possible to set it the other way, so your power chords clean up as you hold them so you can hear the intervals. I'm just spitballing here, but it solves that "it's too dirty, or too clean" problem. Love the channel, the deeper and off into the weeds, the better.

Catching up! Awesome episode!! Enjoyed learning more about Robert and Keeley as a company! Also loved the talk about artist pedals such as VH and etc. For me personally, I would rather have those than buy these modeling devices with hundreds upon hundreds of choices and combinations. At the end of the day I would only use a few and only scratch the surface of the capabilities. I understand the need, but just not for me. If I had to buy those type of modelers, I would rather have lower prices and buy only the amps & cabs I was interested in.

a64tbird small box refers to the size of the head cabinet that Marshall made in the 60s which was smaller than a regular sized box

@@benjohnson4810 If you think there's no sexual connotation you must be pretty naive to be honest LOL It's all in good fun, of course but there's no doubt there's sexual connotation all over that stuff. Look what just happened with the "Pussy Melter". Such a controversy over such a silly thing as the name of a guitar pedal. PC is killing our culture.
