One of my favorite builders. I’ve got the dark side v2 its a technical marvel and I highly recommend it. It does 100 things really well. This fuzz will be my next Keeley pedal. It has all the modern and classic tones in every demo I’ve seen. Mr Keeley you’re a gentleman and a scholar

I’m sold, Robert Keeley is the fucking man. I’ve been playing an Aria for years and it’s served me very well. Just picked up a Caverns and Neutrino V1, looks like this will be added as well. I don’t think anyone else in the pedal or equipment industry lives to selflessly serve music like Robert and his company does. he has a genuine passion that clearly bleeds into his work and is very infectious. I’ll be playing exclusively Keeley from here on out!

I bought this crazy box just recently. The texture control between the bias, treble and bass controls allows a huge range of fuzz morphing. Gated spitting on and off splats to singing round violin textures are all here. Very responsive, very nuanced. Plays well with other boxes in the chain. Knocked it out of the park. Btw, I was able to get a more than decent Spirit In The Sky tone. That's always a plus.

@@kayplainsdrifter136 I have moved it on since, wanting more of a muff sound and less tone bender. @mattgilbert73473 жыл бұрын
Same. But I'd have to sell a kidney. Amps are expensive in Australia (unless you are buying something like a Blues jnr, HRD, AC15). Supros are around $2K, give or take another $2K. Mostly another $2K. I think the Keeley is maybe $1.8K. Not many distributors carry them.

That sounds sick man. The Java is one of my favorites, and I have developed a nice selection of fuzz, but with a definite focus on Tone Benders, and that is gonna fit in well. It sounds like I wanted Algal and Doom Bloom pedals to sound, but with more output by far.

I am so thankful God opened the doors for you to work at the Craft you adore! I am beginning to feel like a Keeley pedal shelter/castle (I am not certain how pedals feel about the differences b/t shelters and castles 🏰, but I imagine if it is underfoot, it is a happy pedal.) It is fun to see the excitement you have for all your pedals; but, this enfant terrible (no disobedience inferred) is a racehorse wanting to be the first pedal in the line-up, the middle pedal and the “clean-up” as well!!! It’s Broad range of luscious fuzzes go from whisper to scream and everything in b/t w/o even breathing hard! Add one of your compressors, “two-knob” for me, in front or after the Fuzz and let the little giant bless your notes with near infinite sustain! (It may be infinite, but I have other notes to play as well!!!) I could not be happier with all five knobs. You gave us a germanium, silicon, Op-Amp fuzz of extremely high-grade quality and kept the price in an unbelievably comfortable zone. Thank you for the years of work you put into making your pedals genuine classics! The Fuzz Bender has set the new benchmark rather high, but knowing you, even though it is through the ether of the Web only, I know that you will keep the freshness of the Keeleys coming ! God bless you and those who have believed in and helped you with your visions! Roctor

The difference between Robert Keeley and some others is that he actually designs and engineers and understands the components and circuits that he is building and why each transistors needs a different rail voltage, bias current to turn them on, just the right amount to send to ground and how much to feedback, how much to gain stack, etc... He was making good pedals sound great long before boutique became standard. I know there's alot of competitive respect in the pedal community. But Analog Mike and Keeley are the top of the hill pedal builders from two different and distinct perspective. They're also the most humble dudes out there. I know JHS and Wampler are out there. And I think Josh Scott brings some cool stuff to the table, other than the pedal graphics, which save a ton of money and allow for easy mass production. I'd still trust him with my pedal mods. But aside from him and some other boutique builders who actually know their electronics, others are suspect in their expertise IMO. Keely also builds some of the coolest looking pedals. The Java. Brown. Simple. Great script. Awesome, awesome treble booster. The Workstation series are just clean, great looking, versatile pedals that could be all you'd ever need with the right amp! But this Fuzz Bender is just incredible. I know the circuits themselves are not extremely difficult on a base level. But to integrate the bias and EQ and creat a true hybrid and do it correctly, and then put it in a new yet somehow nostalgic looking package is just pure genius.

Got my limited edition Surf Green version yesterday. This is the fuzz pedal I've been looking for. To be able to get smooth muff like tones through to spluttery gated noises, and the power of the active EQ section is amazing. Slamming the bass to the right makes for a massive wall of fuzz. Not to forget that the pedal looks fantastic too. Thanks Robert for making this awesome fuzz. I've been running a Keeley compressor plus and EP booster into it, sounding great.

Time for keeley to find a different source for pots. Just got my replacement for the first Fuzz bender that i bought new because it had a bad bias pot, and the replacement also has bad pots . Unreal for a brand new product! Sure it sounds great, but the pots are scratchy. Hell i have a guitar amp that is 40 year old and the pots are less noisy than my new Fuzz Bender. Guess I'll just be stuck with the replacement because i dont want the hassle if sending it back again .

So Q2 and 3 are medium/high gain silicons/Q1 is 100 hfe a pot bias germanium?...it sounds to me like it could have that push/pull,npn/pnp sound you get with fuzz factorys!..I actually made a fuzz factory 7 that has switchable transistors (pnp geto pnp silicon) for q2 and q3,and honesty it sounds exactly like this pedal when I give it full voltage and its set not to oscillate!

Staffy Lee just got mine tonight. I put it after a Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah and a Fulltone MDV3 and in front of a Big Muff Nano and Fulltone OCD. I was running a Marshall Origin 50h through the DI out into my yamaha mixer. Weirdest thing happened, when I turned on I was getting static and then turned the level up and I could hear TV or radio coming through my monitors. Turn the pedal off and it went away. No other pedal had any issues. Switched cords, switched power supply. Same issue. Bias was all the way to the left and everything else at noon. I use a Voodoo Labs Power Plus so it wasn’t power related. Put it in front of my pedal chain, no issues at all. So for now, I’d recommend putting this as close to the guitar in your chain as possible. I will say this pedal sounds awesome, but you do have to mess around with volume knobs. I found my Les Paul likes everything dimed and same thing on the Amp to make this pedal sound best. Haven’t tried the Tele or Strat so more testing it out tomorrow.
@danharris22535 жыл бұрын
I’m somewhat a novice and I know tone is subjective, but to me the tele sounded the best. It’s the American Performer with the Yosemite pickups. Gibson Les Paul is a 2017 Traditional T. I can say that this pedal likes volume maxed out. I like the “wall of sound” Fuzz type tone and this pedal delivers 100%. My settings are bias at 8pm, Fuzz maxed, treble about 4pm, and bass maxed. I cut a lot of bass on the amp eq. Level to unity.

It took me about 5 minutes to realize that I recognized this guy from some ASMR channels I used to watch back in the day. Ya see, between the depression that college and a keg of beer brought on, my sleep cycle was totally out of whack, but this dude's ASMR channel turned that all around. It really makes sense, now that I think about it, because he spent all of his time quietly mumbling about why buffered bypass was good. He has such a smooth voice, you'd think he came with a germanium transistor in him. What still doesn't make sense, though, is why he always did the videos while covered in inordinate amounts of strawberry lube. I guess the sound of him applying it to his hands was nice, but once he started slapping it on his thighs, my vibe was ABSOLUTELY RUINED! Anyways, did you know that the for-profit prison system in America incentives cooperations to do nothing to reform inmates? You can check out my source by doing meth in a police station and waiting 8-10 years.
