26:40 when I read 1 Peter 2 starting at verse 21 all the way to 25...it seems the context is around sin and salvation and not physical healing. If we compare with Isaiah 53 as well it seems we are sick with sin and iniquity and are healed of our slavery to our sin sickness by His stripes. We were continually straying but now have returned to our Shepherd. I’m curious where we get the physical healing from these sections of scripture. “and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.” 1 Peter 2:24 NASB1995 “But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 NASB1995
