So so sorry about you losing your fur baby 😢 yes I've been crocheting for over 40 years and have never made a temperature blanket and I came across Jill I love the idea of the small granny square I don't think it will be boring yes it was very nice of her to make the charts 🎉❤

I really enjoy making temperature blankets. In 2023 I started adding a bobble stitch to recognize the birthdays of my immediate family. Personalizes it just a little bit more.

We have a couple of snaps here Jenni! Jill has also inspired me to make my first temperature blanket, I’m doing 2024 and I filled in all the lowest temps from BOM first and then went back and did the highest. It is quite easy. My Dad passed last year and it will be a memorial blanket. I made the Hexie cardi by Craft and a Cuppa and it was so easy and turned out beautifully, my step daughter snaffled it. I would love to see a craft room tidy up thanks. I hope that happy memories of Charlie give you some comfort, hugs 🤗

Yes, I do like to see craft zoom tidy ups! I just did mine before the holidays. I’m also doing a temperature blanket. I’ve done a temperature project almost every year since 2016! That year I made a HUGE one that covered my sectional couch & beyond (6’ x 20’)! The colors you’ve chosen will make a pretty blanket. Have fun!

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s so difficult to lose a fur baby! Hugs to you. I did a temperature blanket in 2023 to celebrate my 60th birthday. It was one row per day for average temp. It fits a queen size bed and weighs about 8 pounds!! I love it. It’s one of my most prized accomplishments. I am going to join in the birthstone CAL too and likely do a square for a blanket too. 🧡 Thinking of you and your family during this time of loss 🧡 I hope temperature blankets work better in the south hemisphere - everyone I know is in the north and they can't stand working on the blanket in July when it's half done. Too hot! I did a historical one and did the whole thing in 4 cold months with lots of time off.

@InmysparetimeCrochet 🧡 True! Plus the coldest months are when you have half of a blanket in your lap so it's more comfortable. Robin of Knotting Hook Crochet did one (that's how I found her channel and started crocheting myself) and her air conditioning went out in July. In Florida. Her blanket was definitely out on hold lol! I am going to do a few more of those blankets once I get air con installed or next winter.

I love watching your videos. I am also doing the temperature blanket with Jill @gumleaf_crochet_and_yarn. I am making the same one she did for last year. It also helps that if I miss a temperature for a day I can email her and get it as we live in the same town as each other.
