Clemens Field was a WPA build during the depression. During WW2 it was used as a German POW camp, and the prisoners made shoes in the shoe factory right down the road (one of those brick buildings.) There have been minor league teams there from time to time, the last one was just a few years ago. The area where you used your selfie stick used to be the little league and softball fields.

Always an interesting side trip. As an aside to voting in this country prior to around 1880 oneman one vote meant provided you were a land owner you got to vote otherwise tough luck you don't count.
@brentonsriversidehermitage7 ай бұрын
You got it. That meant people who guide the country have a vested interest in its wellbeing. On paper, I'm a can of the net taxpayers model. Produce more than you take, you get to vote. Take more than you produce? Sorry, no vote for you.

It's so strange to watch you walking around and recognizing everywhere you are. Except for the T shirt shop. Where is that? Somewhere near Clemons field, no doubt. I'm glad that the marine store worked out.
@brentonsriversidehermitage7 ай бұрын
That T shirt shop was a real surprise. It was in one of those old brick factory buildings south of downtown and Back away from the river a bit. Behind where Clemens field is.

I think there's a lot of people who shouldn't vote. Some are women. Some are men. There's a reason the founders of our country weren't in favor of universal suffrage. It wasn't even a thing until the 1920s, after America was like 150'ish years old. The fact that so many people loss their minds to even discuss it is rhe reason I left it alone. Does that clear some things up for you? There's nothing worse than white knights riding up to save "muh ladies!" Gesh
