Many thanks Fr. Meeks. I listened to your sermon in a beautifully peaceful place in Ireland and it gave me a great sense of the beauty of our faith. I will be attending mass this evening and I will give thanks for the Sacrament of the Eucharist and for your sermon on the Bread of Life.

The consecration by the priest of the bread and wine supernaturally changes the bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ ( Transubstantiation ) amazing how many of my Catholic friends don't believe this anymore the lack of respect for the sacraments have caused a crisis in my beloved church. Thank you Fr Meeks!🙏

I'm offended that the church will not permit Christians to partake of the blood of Christ even though Christ himself directs us to do this.

If you believe in the True Presence, please consider becoming Catholic, of coming home. Then, if you are in a state of grace you can receive Him. If one is a Catholic, but not in a state of grace, then one is supposed to refrain from receiving until making a sacramental Confession. In other words, we can't just receive whenever we want.

Father would eating his flesh and drinking his blood also in a way represent his bloody sacrifice? We are responsible for his death so we must partake in this meal to be redeemed ?

@@Delilah122 That is a misstatement of the Catholic faith on the Eucharist. You're mocking it.
