Dan caught my eye for being creative and musical. Creative in his parts and the way he moves around the kit. When I first watched/heard “Devour me, colossus” it was like he was opening a door in my brain that I didn’t even know was there. I laughed out loud at thumbs have left the conversation! 😂 I remember being 16 and in a punk band , i had to shove my elbow into my hip, upper arm against my torso because my thumb left the conversation which led to my right hand cramping 😅🤣 Great conversation! 👏

Dan is great. Consistency, technique, creativity, detail, diversity, groove, feel, endurance and so on at absolute top levels. To me definitely in the same boat as Tomas Haake, Danny Carey, the Martins from Opeth, Mario Duplantier and the likes. I'm really bummed that I miss out on seeing NeO in Europe right now because ironically I'm in Australia now. That being said, maybe I'll catch NeO with Dan & Xen here...

Man if NeO sit together in one room to write the next album this could be a great thing, and could be done rather quickly I reckon. I have a hard time really getting into Exul, no idea why, so I've got my fingers crossed that whatever's coming next will be more to my liking. 🤘🏼
