Adam is the reason I discovered obsessed garage and I initially subscribed but never really watched any of his videos. Recently I remembered about it and what he does when looking to re design both of my shops and his stuff has been a huge help weeding out products for my shops without me having to spend a ton of money trying things out so props to matt

God hearing matt so transparent about his anxiety driving is heartbreaking and relatable. My ADHD medication has an uncommon side affect of panic attacks and so far ive been lucky enough to not be in a dangerous situation when it has occurred. But like Matt im a very logical mathematical person so i know exactly how he feels when he’s talking about sitting at a stoplight like an idiot unable to do something and you do beat yourself up over it. Thank you matt for being so transparent and making me feel less alone about shitty situations

I found Matt through Adams channel back in 2016 and realized after watching Matt that I also was suffering from the driving issues/ Anxiety as well. It really helped me through some hard times. Listening to Matt talk about it made me feel like I wasn't alone. Also my first car was a 2005 GLI, loved it.

Matt is the man and I will always aspire to be like him. I deal with the same exact situation where I faint at almost every doctors appointment and I’m able to convince myself that I have something wrong with me to the point that I will faint randomly. I don’t deal with this while driving but I actually did faint at my driving course while trying to get my license years ago and they made me go to the doctor before I could drive with them in the car because they thought I had a seizure in the class. I hope he’s able to get through his current string of anxiety so he can get back into the cars that he loves.

So, these podcasts are doing something to my brain. They’re making me push harder. I’m hearing the struggles of everyone, and it’s making me see that you guys share our struggles. Mental health, money, shady “friends” who just try and see what they can get from you, how you deal with a company that is taking advantage of you. I started listening to these like “yeah, Chelsea, we’re going to learn all about drift stories. And now I’m hearing how many of us guys actually are struggling, grinding, and how many of the KZbin people actually knew very little about cars when you started. Thanks Adam. Keep them coming, I’ll keep listening.

I know this isn't exactly the point of the podcast, but Matt, Jimmy, and T.J. all had moments in the podcast where they hit on mental health in real relatable ways and it resonated with me more than I thought it might. I'm really loving the podcast and I hope you keep it up!

I had a friend. Ashley. She was only 22 when she died. Same anxiety issue matt has. She passed out once before her death driving and messed her face up so bad and she wouldn't listen to others n stop driving. 6 months later she passed out again driving and died. Hope Matt stays safe.

First thing, I wish you, your friends, and Ashley’s family the best. Im sorry if the loss of your friend. Second, as someone who struggles with anxiety. I always find it fascinating learning about peoples anxiety issues. So knowing that people like Ashley and Matt had bad anxiety issues is oddly fascinating because I feel like we will never fully understand how the human body works. Again, sorry for your loss.

Man, I remember that video when Matt was looking for a product but couldn't find the right one because he was stuck on 'more money, more better'. He had a commenter always telling him about a much cheaper alternate and could confirm the quality but Matt being Matt kept looking over it until his curiosity beat him and he tried it then actually really like it. This is one of his flaws. It's like the same as when he threw out all the stuff P&S sent him because he was only interested in 1 product then he later asked for them to send it again and now they're one of his most recommended items.

Zl1 is a good comparison to gt3 because the alpha Platform the Camaro is based on was basically a labor of love from Chevrolet engineers and when it came to handling dynamics the engineers were given free reign. No a ZL1 is not as good as a GT3 but the engineers at Chevrolet performance really put their heart and soul into development of that platform

Yeah, it's such a struggle. I began building my 8th gen Civic in 2015. Full bolt-ons, all the suspension parts, wheels, tires. Polished it out til the paint was literally flawless. Ceramic coated everything. Disassembled the entire interior, steam cleaned and extracted everything, then put it back together piece by piece. It's a blessing and a curse. Even after all that work, I'm still not satisfied with the cosmetics. I will never be satisfied. Something I have become accustomed to. Because of all this, It took me til 2021 to go to my first car meet and actually meet other people in the community. I've been obsessed with cars since the Haggard era... a full 10 years went by before I attended a car event. So when you say it's hard to get him to leave the house, I get it. There is a very dark side to all of it that many don't see. It's great that your buddy has a friend like you.

The path or journey TO an “end-game” anything is arguably worth more than the actual end-game product. The education and progression achieved is invaluable and overlooked which is why buying end-game just to buy it is not necessarily the smart purchase.
