Hi OZ, thanks for detailing this unit, I have been curious about its funcionality and you descibe that perfectly as usual. I am just curious if there is any advantage/disadvantage to using a second 1027 for this other than the 2V/10V switch?

The 1027 doesnt have gate inputs and manual triggers per step like this module does. The 960 sequencer which also has those might be a better compliment than a second 1027.

Good question, because there is a premium that you pay for these boutique designs, vs mass produced Behringer. What you get with the AM1026 is: 1) Random access to the steps via the buttons OR the gate inputs. The 1027 has no random access and only Gate Outputs. The 1050 mix seq has this behavior, but it is a bit awkard to connect 8 DC voltages to the inputs. Also the 1050 does not have the Gate Ins. 2) The XOR (radio button) behavior of the buttons. The 1050 red buttons also have this behavior. 3) as you mentioned the 10v/2v selectable outputs are necessary real world conveniences, which are awkard to reproduce otherwise.

These look like so much fun. I will not fill a whole row with sequencers. I will not fill a whole row with sequencers. I will not fill a whole row with sequencers...

LOL Lotza fun! A whole row may be overkill, but I did want to add these Amsynths "new 2500 modules" to my system.
