Mwaf it is not voltage that kills when you get shocked. A 12V car battery can kill if current (amperes) is high enough.. One can survive 240V if the output current is low. What kills is the current passing through the body (which acts as a resistor when you touch a bare electric wire) to the earth not the voltage. Just for information 😊

To put it differently, you can't have one without the other. The current in a battery is higher than that in 240v in your house. But the damage in 240v is way above the 12v battery... for you to be electrocuted, the voltage must be high enough to push the current through your body...
