How can they use "hired" as a clue for FIRED when they both contain the word "ired"? That would be like using "Thursday" as a clue for FRIDAY.

Ired is not a word. And again, rules become stringent as you move along..

@@evansonndungu6054 - Why on earth would you say 'ired' isn't a word? It's the past tense form of the verb 'to ire'. And I don't follow what you're saying about the stringency of rules. I thought the same rules about hints applied throughout the game.
