A lot of people get offended by the masculine preference, but the reality is *most* gay men prefer…a man. And inherently, manhood/maleness is based not just on the natural physical male characteristics but also the behaviors and even styles that humanity has cultivated as “male”. It can be hard in the gay community because most gay men, by default, desire manhood/maleness. While some possess it, many lean toward the feminine energy because, that’s somewhat inherent to the nature of being gay. It’s not SO much about self-hate or ingrained bigotry (although that does play a role when the preference becomes negative), as it is about numbers. There tend to be more feminine gay men than there are masculine gay men, and even the masculine presenting ones tend to still lean feminine in the bedroom and in their desires…so what the group wants versus what the group consists of is disproportionate. I do wish it wasn’t expressed so negatively, with such exclusion and the association of feminine men with negativity - because THAT part is the ingrained homophobia. But the preference for malehood/masculinity isn’t. I do think more masculine gay men would be more happy and free if they could acknowledge their attraction to feminine men, because that part often gets overlooked.

10:12….. there is NOTHING WRONG WITH WHAT HE’S wearing at all!!! The black tight fit with the A shirt and the black hat was cool … a nice outfit but with all due respect don’t try to change anyone… or tell them to tone it down… smh… just go for another guy

This was definitely one of the better episodes. Everyone was very mature, attractive, and not so surface level, although the fem/masc discourse in the comments may make it seem that way. Also the ending shot of the follow up with the entire cast was a phenomenal add on.

Best episode yet! Love the level of accountability regarding long distance and absolutely loved the lack of “cattiness” and pettiness. To be a young cast, these guys were overall rather mature and seemed serious, except the first contestant who wasn’t “looking for love” … did you see the show title? Kudos RioFaceTv
