Friend, I’m rooting for you! I really am. I love this format centered on gay men. And I can tell you’re working hard and put a lot of work in it to building your brand and your show. So kudos for that. Pulling this off is a lot of work, and it’s nice to see things centered for queer people. Please continue to try to improve the pool of contestants. I know it’s hard. Advertise hard on the apps and social media, and interview them first through video chat to make sure they aren’t as boring and clueless as week old pound cake. I’d rather have people who can finish a sentence, than people who are just cute or “stylish” (or think they are). Get some older gherls and guys too, because some of these 20-something clubbers party so much they can’t communicate more than three words. And if you’re going to have multiracial “fish in the sea”, then find contestants who are cool with interracial relationships; we would be super offended if this was a white-majority show and they told a black contestant “I only date white guys”. But, again, kudos to you for the work. I know it takes a while when you’re just starting out and everything starts somewhere. You’re doing awesome, and I’m looking forward to seeing where things go. Even some of these contestants have been a wreck, the show itself, your hosting, and the work is awesome!

Mmm, think about it like this: If you’re on a dating app, you swipe left like A LOT. If you’re anywhere at anytime in public, your eyes subconsciously “swipe left” or “pop balloons” nonstop, you just not realize til someone takes grabs attention. This show’s format is as if anytime you opened Tinder, you HAD TO have a conversation with everyone who you swipe left or anyone who swept you left about why both don’t like each other, or as if any time you went in public you had to talk to everyone about why they’re not your type and viceversa. So when you watch shows like this, do it for entertainment only, this is not dating in real life, this is a extremely confrontational format which forces negative interactions for entertainment. Don’t despair!

Every race and group outside of ours encourages the people to date within their race. Asians with Asians, white with white, Jewish with Jewish, etc. I don’t understand why Black people are being condemned for wanting to date someone who resonates with their life experience, nobody will ever understand a black man or woman better than their own. Y’all have that bad to want to be the model citizen when everybody else is looking out for their own people. There is nothing wrong with them popping because they don’t want to date a white person, nobody questions other races on why they don’t want to date us so why do we do it to our own people? Let people decide for themselves instead of telling them that they are childish or will end up alone because they didn’t want to date someone who couldn’t identify with the lens they see the world in. This isn’t a knock to Trackz, because obviously opening up and allowing this to be multi racial is beneficial to the amount of contestants he will have but, our community is our safe space and you guys should not be trying to deny people of wanting to be with their own.

RE:racial preference pushback..Tracks, I think it depends on how deep you want to go and what values you want uplifted as part of your personal brand as it relates to your (you and your team’s) show. My recommendation would be to ask why and push for a deeper answer than “I just don’t” cause there is often a deeper one “I would worry about being micro aggressed by their family” or “I would have a hard time with connection because I fear we have lived in two different worlds” or “I desire a certain level of commonality or relatability with my lived experience that most same raced folks have”. Depending on how you want to grow your channel you may pocket off or have an offshoot episode on somethings that come up. (Like a debrief and reflections episode with the team) Some thoughts.
@allegroaffettuoso90123 ай бұрын
This. Either coach them to explain deeper reasons for why they reject someone outside of their race if that’s a deciding factor, or just have them leave it be. Because the Devin rejection moments were awkward & uncomfortable, and even a bit offensive: because they don’t spell out the deeper reasons for the rejection, so the language winds up sounding like the same language we hear from people who are operating in bigotry. If this were a white-majority show, and a white contestant rejected a Black contestant and simply said “I don’t date Black guys”, we would be up in arms. Let’s not be the same way. Especially since our motivations for why we don’t always date outside our race isn’t the same as there’s - as you say, it’s often rooted in fear of microaggressions or just full-on aggression and bigotry. Communicate that and have the deeper conversations, the same way we’re having deeper conversations around LGBTQ lifestyle. Especially, if you’re going to have a selection of people who are of different races. Either make sure the contestants who is selecting from the group is comfortable with interracial dating, or can intelligently explain why they aren’t in a way that doesn’t just sound like bigotry or ignorance.

I really enjoyed this episode. Some of the single guys are going deeper with their questions this episode. While many of them popped their balloons prematurely and asked questions later (bad sign of act now, think later or worse, being reactive instead of being proactive at face value), it's great that many of the single guys sought out clarity to make intentional efforts at making genuine connections. Dior is a cutie! But the real star is Ike (aka Trackz) looking dapper and gorgeous with the purple pants on (purple is his color). My only feedback is I think the person who introduces Ike should do so with more enthusiasm and fire because it's a show and he should want to bring elevated energy to engage with the audience watching, especially when Ike comes out. He didn't have elevated energy and he was not enunciating when he introduced Ike, which caused me to replay the intro a few times to make out what he said. Aside from that feedback, the show was enjoyable, especially with Ike (Trackz) as the host!

Honestly, a lot of people within the community shall be single for AWHILE!!!! My heart goes out to Devin, given the skin tone and lot of us say its not skin tone, not to be prejudice towards us but we be prejudice towards them.
