I find it interesting that he replaced the pcm first to try and fix his intermittent shut off issue. I replaced ALL the sensors, ALL of them because i had runnability issues, as well as oil leaks. Then I replaced the top engine harness later, when I needed new glow plugs. I cannot tell you how much better it runs, how much better fuel mileage I get, how much more power I have, EVERYTHING is WAAY better. Now I'm thinking about PCM/IDM upgrades/replacement. Other than a powermax turbo, a 4" inch turbo back exhaust and a tuner, it's stock @295k miles. I need new injectors and want an HPOP upgrade, as well as the pcm/idm getting done, too. I also had my CAC recored/"cleaned". I think with a lot of these old trucks, going in and cleaning things up with new sensors, new wiring, fixing old stuff they run SOO much better. Then I would think about upgrades.

We fully believe in meeting people where they are. But it is USUALLY missed that getting a truck running well before trying to add any power is critical to a good experience.
