Interesting you are going west about. I went east about as there is t much to see until northumberland so I could then spend as much time as I wanted in the Orkneys and the west coast of Scotland. Also having done the West Country many times I had an easy run home. Have fun.

We are certainly heading West, but I’m not even sure we are going to go all the way around. We’ll see how we feel by the time we get up to Scotland

Thank you very much. Got a nasty suspicion We might be stopped by the weather in mid this week but at least we got away.

@@CoricContessa32 yes Tuesday and Wednesday look interesting- a sheltered marina, a good book and a few bottles of wine will help.

Thanks Jim, really great to hear from you and glad you like it. I know you are a seasoned diarist. The map idea is a good one.

Hi glad it's going well. Be interesting to know what your rough plan is for the next leg or two, just to get a sense of the planning decisions and alternate plans if the wind changes

Thanks, Brian. It’s a good question because at the moment we are facing the dilemma of trying to get round Lands End before some filthy weather next week or waiting and spending some time this side of the Lizard. Watching the weather closely.

Happy Easter! Have a good onward trip. Fowey next?
@CoricContessa32 Жыл бұрын
We are probably going to press on to Falmouth but certainly Fowey would be a suitable port of refuge

Is your chart plotter an Axiom? In the cockpit? Very enjoyable video btw.
@CoricContessa32 Жыл бұрын
Thanks Nick, it is an axiom 7 fitted above the companionway hatch. So far really pleased with it.

How long did it take to go from Cowes to Salcombe? Was that the first trip right?
@CoricContessa32 Жыл бұрын
We left Cowes at 0800 and arrived Salcombe at 0245 next morning having deliberately slowed down a little bit in order to ensure we had enough water at the entrance. Given that I was unsure how much swell there might be. In the end overly cautious, but it was a fast trip really.

@@CoricContessa32 Thanks so much for your response. That's a good distance 100NM ish I assume. Fair winds. 🙂
