I feel your pain about pulling wire! I build emergency vehicles (squads, trucks, snowmobiles, and boats) and I always hated working on someone else work. You were asking for ideas about tie downs for your console. If you haven't found something yet you might want to check out Allis Chalmer Grill Hood Latches. I've used the steel ones and I think they also make rubber ones as well. Like I tell the techs that I'm training, if you build something like you are going to have to fix it in the future then there is a good chance you will never have to!

Thank you for your comment, I'm starting to narrow down my search. I'm going to try to do a video today or tomorrow explaining my criteria for finding the perfect motor for this little boat.
