You're blessed to be living near such magnificent cruising grounds! Smooth single handed docking by the way.

Annie and I have really enjoyed your content. its been 43 years since I've laid eyes on my my childhood hometown Fairlie but still I can remember seeing Wee Cumbrae and Arran and sailboats in the anchorage and from my bedroom window. I have a small request, next time you venture out , can you pan the camera to the Fairlie village. Seeing it from the sea would be great. One day we plan to sail home Annie and Kevin Ontario Canada

Annie and Kevin, thanks for your comment, I will get a shot of Fairlie next time I am out! Best wishes.

Thanks for sharing, this takes me back to 2008 ,I bought a Mg335 in Largs it was early April when we went over to bring her back to Ireland ,A bit over zealous we had to turn back at Arran considering the ferries had been cancelled and the weather was foul so not much else to do we spent the day exploring the Kyles before heading back to the marina,, I am so glad it happened because we had the most wonderful day with snow topped mountains and scenery to die for ...This video certainly has taken me back ,I have been up the Clyde lots since but mainly racing at Scottish series in Tarbert ,I hope to get up this year in May and after watching this honestly I can t wait !! Cheers

Just bought "Sea Sable", a Beneteau Evasion 32 from Kip Marina. Only had her out twice because of the restrictions, but looking forward to sailing her when things ease up. Fantastic video and I have subscribed; maybe even see you around come the summer.

Just discovered your channel thank you for sharing your trips on the West Coast. Next year I'd love to do a circumnavigation of the UK going via the Cally Canal. I'm from Carluke originally so excited to take my boat to the West Coast!

Lovely surrounding and music for a calm sailing time as now, what a treat and way to know a beauty of Scotland. Could even be a very thought to add sailing route to guide my net exploring to the area . Thank you for the sharing and looking for more to come.

You are handling her like a veteran. I am a big fan of the long-keeled sailboats. My own ship is a Union Polaris 36. Somewhat slower and does not turn so sharply, but a good ship for the bigger seas. What's the motor in that Hanse ?
@SailingSula3 жыл бұрын
thanks, the engine is a Volvo penta 27hp.

great video, is there somewhere you would recommend to do training courses on that coastline. Or have you done any locally?
@SailingSula4 жыл бұрын
Hi John, I have done training with Scotsail and Leith Nautical both very good. M
@johnhardy-yp4lr4 жыл бұрын
Ah Leith yes have watched some of their training on this channel. Will look up Scotsail cheers for reply
@Div3r4 жыл бұрын
@@johnhardy-yp4lr Not sure how common this is or if it is still the case but when I did a course with Scotsail in 2018 students/crew shared the costs of any marinas used and paid for the skipper's meals if you eat off the boat this is on top of the course fee. If you eat on the boat then all meals and soft drinks are included in the course fee. I must say we ate very well on the boat and the course was very good.
@johnhardy-yp4lr4 жыл бұрын
@@Div3r thanks for that good to know there are many advertised but for me actual delivery is paramount.

Hi nice video, one question how do you heave too with your self tacking jib? do you have to go forward and pin the car or can you do it from the cockpit?
@SailingSula3 жыл бұрын
great question! that has been on my 'to do' list and I need to work out a method. I guess I will have to create a couple of attachment points that I will have to clip the sail to on each tack.
