This actually explains a lot. I have the most confidence singing when I’m also listening to the music I’m singing. I was so confused as to why I could only sing decently when I was listening to it and I realized I ‘couldn’t’ sing without the music playing because I never believed in myself and wound just start overthinking everything

I've been training my voice for a very long time but I was trapped to my own beliefs. I always believed that I can't belt high notes because of my low voice, but when I tried singing with confidence, I was shocked by the results. I never thought that I can belt much higher notes than expected. Thank you so much for encouraging me to sing to my full potential! ❤️

Many years ago when I was younger I didn't sing in front of others and if I did it was barely a whisper. One time in my teens I was in the car with my soul mate and a favorite song came on the radio. I don't even remember what the song was anymore 30 plus years later. I started singing softly in the passenger seat. Shortly he told me to stop singing. I couldn't sing and I was flat. That crushed me and I never sang in front of anyone again until I had a child. I sang for him. He's grown now and I am back to only singing alone. Heidi
@PowerToSing7 ай бұрын
Hi Heidi: Most of the time people who give you feedback on your singing don't know what they are talking about. But from what you have said, it sounds like you have a challenge staying on pitch. There are apps available for mobile phones that really can help. I've had students use one by Erol Singer's Studio and it shows you where you deviate from the pitch and you can correct it. I think there are many others that you can look at that do the same thing. It seems to help.

I actually sing very well naturally. My Gift is straight from heaven. And I write naturally. But the ONLYYYYTY thing holding me back from starting is fear and being critical of myself. I have many many ideas for songs and concepts I’m passionate about I’d like to make music about. But I think what if my voice cracks when I sing it live. What if people think my style of music is too sad. What if I don’t look attractive in my music video lol. The dumb stuff. How do I get over myself so I don’t waste my talents. I’m 21 and this is the best time for me to try.
@PowerToSing2 жыл бұрын
Go out and fail as often as possible. Make plenty of mistakes, embarrass your self, and celebrate your effort. Have fun in the process. You will soon realize, life goes on. It really makes little difference. And then keep doing the same until you success more than you fail. After a while you will wonder what you were so afraid of.
@alika2072 жыл бұрын
Who cares if your voice cracks? Every singer has at least once. Those who think your style of music is too sad are just people who don’t want to invest in your music emotionally. I bet they will not know what they are missing out on. and regarding how you look, I’ve literally been blind since birth, so to me, everybody looks beautiful!

Remember whether someone has a great voice is very subjective. One person may think she is the best singer in the world. The next may not like her voice. Usually, it comes down to personal preference. If only 2% of the world's population loves or likes your voice, that is still over 160 million! If those people spent $1.00 in their lifetime on your voice, that's 160 Million you earn in your lifetime. Not bad for only 2% of the world liking your voice.

Hello im an Elvis fan,how does Elvis sing with so much power in the chorus in songs like "without love""just pretend" etc..is it belting ?can you teach this form of power?Than you for great tuition.
@PowerToSing8 жыл бұрын
In "Without Love" I think he is not belting, but is in a mix of head and chest voice. He was either trained to do it, or more likely he had a natural gift that allowed him to sing an F# above Middle C without belting or pulling up chest voice. Unless you have a natural gift, you can train your voice to mix. If there is balance and coordination in the voice, you can develop a powerful voice to the limits of your particular capacity.

Gosh, I would just LOVE to listen to your videos, but the dominant background music makes it unbearable for me like for most HDPs. And it is totally obsolete, the presence if your beautiful voice is all it needs. Please, would you consider reuploading your videos without? With all respect...🙏
@PowerToSing2 жыл бұрын
That would be a great project. Unfortunately, reuploading the video also resets the views to zero. So this video, instead of showing 14,000 people viewing it over a 6 year period, it would say, 1 view and the post date would be reset to the day the new video went live. Collectively, instead of my channel showing 24 million views, it would show a few views and then youtube doesn't show my videos to anyone. So...I have to live with my mistakes.
