What an incredible journey! Very excited for you to put your stamp on it! A few ideas, maybe sketch out a floor plan on paper and see if you can eliminate any walls, for enlarging some rooms or flip-flopping rooms. Maybe consider... creating privacy from neighbors on the terrace with a pergola on one side and start some vine growing type plants. Maybe leave the armoire doors open slightly, so they can begin to air out. Very beautiful home and property! Looking forward to your renovations!
@DarleneLavett Жыл бұрын
Lovely ideas, thank you the armoire is actually going into the master bedroom and the large wardrobe in the master bedroom will go into the TV room and we will turn that into a drinks cabinet. Can’t wait to refurbish and re-purpose all these beautiful pieces of furniture. I also have Roman columns that have recently been delivered so we can erect a pergola as you suggested and start growing some vines for privacy. 😀
@Parisdoesrock Жыл бұрын
@@DarleneLavett, Roman columns will be fantastic! You will be the envy of all, & they will be ambient too! What a fantastic idea. Converting & switching up the Armoires will make them your own. Thanks Darlene for sharing another great vlog. It's quite a sizeable home (maison de maître)! Did you already tell us the year you believe it was built?? I also love the full length upstairs corridor. The furniture purchased with the property anazing.
@DarleneLavett Жыл бұрын
Hi Helen, thank you and I agree it is a perfect size for us. I think it was my first or second episode that I mentioned the year - the house was built in the late 1800s but the pigeonnaire is believed to be a lot older anywhere from 300 - 500 years old. This would explain why it has its on title of land around it.

Hello from Perth! Thank you for your lovely msg. As I understand it some people have buying agents but we didn’t use one. We (Shaun) contacted each realtor selling the houses we were interested in.
