It's so good to see and yes, apart from seeing you on Insta, we did wonder how you were doing but I actually guessed that your gallery might be keeping you busy and that's just wonderful. You have to chose what's best for you and your wellbeing, if that means creating less content and making shorts, then that's just perfect. Hi Darlene, I think that’s a great idea to do shorter vlogs. I thought you were probably very busy in your art studio, that’s great! I’m an artist too and it’s very time consuming especially when you are growing a business in a new country. A Bientôt

So wonderful to see you! We have just returned from a great month in your adopted country France and saw your little village along the way. Home again in Mt. Hood, Oregon to the most beautiful fall colors, new snow on the mountain, and time to write about our grand adventure. We covered over 2000 miles (with a new, rented BMW) and captured over 2000 pictures. Life is miraculous! Thank you for posting.

I have to share a story after seeing the name of your new cat. A thousand years ago I was waiting for a bus and a young man asked me where I worked. I proudly told him Caspers, at that time the best hairdressers in town. He fell about laughing and asked me if I knew Casper in Portuguese meant dandruff. Honestly, is it difficult to work with French businesses: kitchen installed, gardeners, etc...? Also, may be a strange question, but are there ticks in the garden and in the woods? Do you find some of your dogs and cats, or on yourselves? Lyme disease concerns... Thank you.

Thank you for your lovely msg. We do have ticks here but they are small bush ticks and not deadly to animals however they can cause sickness if not removed. As for Lyme disease I don’t believe it is common here. I have heard of other areas of France being prone to tick illness/lyme disease though.

Thé very best part of living in France, our French neighbours❤❤👏👏 what an honour to be given the maypole and your friends had one too. More celebration excuses. Your pergola looks amazing and you will be so glad of that extra height when it grows like crazy and the flowers are hanging down. I pruned ours really hard this year and it was late getting going. Free stand I think. We will leave the awning there until the plants grow over and then remove it… or leave it as it provides shelter for that French door. Will wait and see!
