EP 8 Ganpatipule to Ratnagiri | Konkan Tour | Ganpatipule temple | Maharashtra Tourism

Ganpatipule is an ancient temple of Lord Ganesh in Konkan region of Maharashtra. We spent one full day at Ganpatipule, following are th activities we did during the day and towards the end of the day we moved towards Ratnagiri city.

This was our 8th day of our konkan tour, This was video was shot on 24th September
MTDC RESORT GANPATIPULE - RS 1600 for double occupancy, It goes from Rs 5000 to Rs 7000. It is advisable to prebook the hotel if you are coming over the Weekend. The location of the resort is really good.
We visited another property of MTDC - Dormitory - Rs 3300 weekend - Rs 5300
We had Breakfast at Tavish Restaurant - Poha & Upma while seeing the view of the beach.
After breakfast, we went to see the Bamboo hut room, which cost Rs 3100 for weekdays & Weekends - RS 4000. Their manager told me, in the coming day they will start the boat club which will have multiple water sports activities.
After that, we proceeded to the main attraction of Ganpatipule - Shri Ganpati Temple, which was built 400 yrs ago. This temple is located right beside the shore of the beach. We had darshan of Lord Ganesha in form of Shila which is self-manifested in the temple.
Just about 1 km from the Ganpatipule temple, we visited the Prachin Konkan, there we saw varieties of trees & Ayurvedic Plants. In prachin konkan you will get to see life of Konkan people & their culture in form of statues. Guided tour ticket price- Rs 40 per person. There is also a shop in the complex, which has so many wooden toys & memento, which you can buy.
We had lunch in the same complex. After lunch we also visited the museum - varieties of Shank, Sea Shells & Pearls, you can even buy them. Overall it was a good experience to visit Pranchin Konkan.
Then we visited the Aare Ware Beach in Ratnagiri District, we saw sea shells on the beach
We stayed at Seafan Ratnagiri premium category room - Rs 5000 double occupancy including breakfast. Located near Mandavi Beach Walkway.

I am totally relishing the Konkan Tour. Almost binge watching all the episodes. I am a Maharashtrian and have been to Konkan a few times for sure. But I would not have done it so thoroughly. I am totally enjoying the pace of the vides and the in-depth coverage. These days social media has made my attention span very short and I half expected myself to fast forward some of the portions of the videos. But that has totally been not the case. I have seen Harish relishing the Modak the third time now and I am watching it the third time with equal interest and excitement. He stops to look at trees and explain its significance. Gives ample time for beach walks and does not care about the itinerary if he discovers a new place along the way. We need this level of details and pace back into our lives. It makes us stop and realize that perhaps this is the right way to enjoy life. With patience, joy, consideration, respect, sincerity and openness. Thank you Harish!

Purani yaade taza kar di sir aap ne. especially remember collecting shells from the beach with my sister. This place is still the same as it was 24 yrs back. Not much crowded even today. The beach is clean & Pristine. The kattha tree & making process was very informative. Maza aa gaya ye episode dekh ke.

Amazing views and beautiful nature all around. I think you missed the views of AARE-WAARE from the top, since u have travelled after sunset. The views are really awesome from top. Ratnadurg is also next level experience, hope you have seen the hole in the mountain at Ratnadurg, also there is one aquarium where the large blue whale is kept which was found at the bay in 1980s

Very attractive and informative vlog. One thing I would like to share is that...in Ganapatipule you may stay at Bhakta Nivas a very good and comfortable rest house run by Ganapati temple trust. Rates are very very reasonable, you may also enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner also at Bhakt Niwas canteen. You served with very tasty food at reasonable rates. One more addition Velneshwar temple also has facility of Bhakt Niwas...sea beach near velneshwar is also superb.
