Useful items, an algicide sold for swimming pools as well as pool chlorine tablets which are very very slow dissolving (1 per month) in the bilge after a reasonable cleaning will prolong the "freshness" with very little odor (unlike liquid bleech)

@@ImonVacation looks like you had both motors out! The transum was rebuilt and gunnall was rebuilt!! I'm looking to retire/be done working) 1973 is the Year I was born!! I understand it needs more love!! I got a few years before I'm ready! I am up in Michigan and want to do the Mississippi back up to Michigan! I don't want to insult anybody! What is the ballpark you would consider/what might be needed to bring her back up to Michigan! I'm still going threw your adventures! Thank for getting back to me so fast!!! Did you get the boat inspected before you bought it?

We did. We had it pulled and had a surveyor inspect it. We shared the process in video 1.

100 gal for twin v8s. Figure this had like 300 gal tank. Is the generator tank separate?

The boat has (2) 100 gallon tanks, 1 for port and 1 for starboard engine. The generator pulls from the same tank and is not separate which was a concern we share through some of the videos and the reason we brought a separate generator so we could monitor and control or fuel usage.

You went to the wrong laundromat in Winona Mn Whistle Clean is where you have gone and would have been in a hour an half the most beautiful place for laundry any where Too Bad

Dang. Wish we would have known. The laundry mat isn't what held us up though. The mechanic was working on the boat so we didn't have anywhere to go and couldn't bring the dog inside.

We covered approximately 1600 miles at 2 miles a gallon, so close to 800 gallons.

That car wash brush did nothing. You have to buff that clear, or whatever is left and put some wax on it. Polishing boats is the worst.

It got dirt off, but yeah, it's not going to change the shine. I think we filmed me using an orbital with compound. I used the starbrite compound and polish, but it could have used a lot more.... 🤣

We live just 30 minutes from Winona. I wish I had known, I’d loved to help you out. This year, late July 2023 we purchased our first houseboat. We cleaned and changed over so many things over a 3 week period and then a two day trip down river to Wabasha. Your story Related in many ways.

@@ImonVacation we are, and it’s fun. I believe in being outside as much as possible and I love the river. We keep the houseboat in Wabasha Minnesota. About 40 north of Winona. Lots of work but next year will be so worth it
