Summary of South Odisha: This area is completely different from East Odisha, this place is all about landscape, scenic views, low density population, there are no tall buildings, people live simple life and are close to nature. This place is largely known for Tribal population.
Following are the details of places we visited as part of this journey, i am sure you will love to watch this episode, as we explored hills, waterfalls, street food, and so much in this journey.

Sai International : This is a hotel located in main market Rayagada.

Chatikona: Every wednesday there is a tribal market at this place, many foreigners travel to Rayagada to see Odisha tribe. If you meet a tribe at Chatikona, you should not be surprised if they ask for Rs 100 for a selfie. Earlier they were not like that but over the years, they have been offered money for a picture with a Tribe.
All said, there ornaments are worth watching, it is really interesting to learn about their life, especially how do they manage their living plus so many other things.
For all this you need to have a guide along, other wise it will not do justice to the visit.

Though we went to Jeypore for night stay, we could have spend half a day at Jeypore to explore the town but there is nothing much in Jeypore, if you have time you can travel to Jeypore for half a day.
In any case if you are travelling to Gupteswar temple you will be passing through Jeypore only. Distance between Koraput town and Jeypore is just 26 km...Jeypore is a market place and a developed township.

a kid from bengal read a text book where the beauty of Dudumar Falls was described...time passed by...40 years later when he was watching this video...he suddenly remembered the Koraput...he tried recalling more names which he had studied long back...and finally it just came in front of his eyes ! The Falls of Duduma !!! YES! The circle of a tiny life just completed. A mesmerizing experience. We call Orissa Bihar n Bengal - less developed state. Dear Harish Ji : A very good video and a good job by the person behind camera. To my mind if Geography in school is taught using some of your videos probably the learning would be better and the kids will take pride about their state of Orissa. Surprisingly, the state does not seem to attract the tourist, which seems to have good weather, good infrastructure and clean air. Hello sir, I am a native of a village named Nandapur, which you would have crossed to reached rani duduma falls. Thank you very much for exploring our place. One thing I should point out that the route from rayagada to koraput is really beautiful. You have mentioned that you have covered it when it was dark. You should see it sir. That is one of our favourite routes to travel. It is such a beautiful route throughout. One may not even feel the journey of 3 to 4 hours in that route. If any of you are planning to visit south odisha, please visit kolab dam, batish singhasana, ancient temples in subai, vikram deb raja's palace in jeypore, gupteshwar temple etc including the places shown in this video. If possible travel in a train from koraput to nearby places, it is a lot more enjoyable with those tunnels entering the mountains. Please bear in mind that wherever you travel in south odisha, it is the journey from one place to another, which is going to be the most beautiful thing to enjoy.

It was a great exploration and nice presentation. I am from Rayagada (initial part of the video), would say 2-3 location would have been covered on your way back to Koraput.
