That was the most epically tragic cable short film I have ever seen. The pathos was palpable, and I will never view a cable kink in quite the same way again. The light's cool too.

Every summer on a very hot day, we at American Jib Works lay all of our cables strung straight on asphalt for a couple hours which makes them very pliable. The cables will loose their bad memory and are easy to retrain In a winter emergency , we use an oven Nice show Dave!

I shot that in silence, with my roommate staring at me from the couch. The best part for me was the magical moment when I was looking for music to fit and found that piece on Artlist. Then all I had to do was line up the two keys pressed at the end. Everything else happens without edit.

Glad you got your cable wrapped! Hey also I noticed you’re going counter clockwise with your wrap. Clock wise is proper.

Oh that constant output vs max output is a useful feature. Thx for the vid, and yes let's put pressure on manufacturers to have proper cables. Part of the problem is they are using a plastic jacket rather than a rubber one, such as SJOW

Someone explain why it’s an XLR and not a DMX. I’m still figuring this out and thought that DMX is used for light
@diogoalmeidavisuals4 жыл бұрын
I know it is a power cable, but since it is an XLR and not just a regular stinger, shouldn't it be over-under?

Been trying to put out my feelers on that, haven’t gotten a real good answer yet. I too am curious.

8:00 It’s not that cool chips are brighter. It’s that both chips at 100% is brighter than just cool or warm alone. So constant mode keeps the overall exposure constant, and max mode just gets brighter in the 4000-ish range.

BMPCC 6K. I think it looks off still but it’s been a learning curve for me. I took Caleb Pikes course on it and I think we’ll be looking sit better next time. This was all 1920x1080 pro res LT then color corrected by yours truly. Color is also something I’m working on. Took Denver riddles class so I have the know how but not the experience. Dialing it in I guess is what I’m saying hahaha. Thanks!

Wouldn't you be able to hook up up 5 of these lights and only get 12.5 amps if these light's are rated at 300 watts? 300 watts divided by 120 volts, being 2.5 amps x 5. Making it 12.5 amps for 5 lights? I know that a 2000 watt light is 16.6 true amps and 20 paper amps so the numbers in the video didn’t sound right.
@camera70014 жыл бұрын
Great video otherwise man!
@GripTips4 жыл бұрын
I say 3.5 amps because that’s the max this light is going to use, it will vary in watts with the brightness wheel so there’s some fluctuations but I was going for simplicity in the explanation. A channel called PotatoJet hooked this up to an outlet and showed how the watts vary when it’s in max output which with planning you could totally abuse but for me, I like simple math and rules of thumb for now until I get into more complicated distro, which is still something I’m learning.
@camera70014 жыл бұрын
Grip Tips Ah ok I get it. Love PotatoJet btw haha. But yeah I understand what you mean now. Thanks for the explanation.

@@GripTips Love it! A good way to describe Max Output and Constant (this name doesn't help) Output: Max Output combines the power of all LED chip depending the color temp. While constant maintains the intensity of the lowest output led chip to scroll seamless from one color temp to the other without changes in intensity. LiteMat S2 series had a feature that would combine both color temps at max intensity at 44k(ish). They shipped with the feature turned off by default, for the seamless scroll from color temp to color temp. Ive seen alot of people confuse this feature. Hope that helps other users.
