I'm glad I found this video, your presentation style is spot on. 👍 Some channels are weird over excited grown men acting like teenagers, and others are just plain invisible. You only see a pair of hands doing various stages of the build and you come away feeling like you haven't learned anything. Those videos are usually accompanied by really crap music. Now, if I want to listen to crap music I'll go stand in a lift, I don't enjoy it on KZbin while I'm trying to glean some information about a product I'm considering buying. I'm definitely subbing and watching more of your videos. 👍

Thanks so much for the comment and the sub! Yeah, if I could afford to license some 90s grunge, maybe there would be music in my videos. But I can't do the license-free music, I agree it just sounds bad and is distracting. Hope my videos are helpful!

Thx, really enjoy your vids. Quick look at the motor.. interesting one. It's not precise but 3800 Kv would be around 12T equivalent. 1410 has a length of 53mm, so maybe a touch longer than a regular Tamiya 540 can, but that might be just the sensors (which you're not using with a Sidewinder ESC). The motor is rated up to 100k rpm, and recommended for 2S/3S lipos... but even with a 3S lipo, you'll only be getting around 50k rpm (4.2v x 3S x 3800Kv). I'm not suggesting you slap a 4S in it, but I'm curious to know how hot it runs on 3S.

I know it made it to 27mph on tarmac on 2S. It needs some help with handling, though. Already ordered some more bits.

Just to point out it does say in manual that running the mismatch in the diffs on high grip surfaces will increase wear or something along those lines.

I personally dislike the xv-02 for it's body mounts. like you said it has mounted on the shocktower for decades. and even on the XV-01 it's on the shocktower, even on the Longerdamper version. (where bodies lay ontop of the tower, which works fine) So it baffles me they didn't stick with it. As for the Nimh stick battery it's because from my understanding Lipo's are insanly difficult to import in japan, and the Nimh batteries are more safe to use. Ill stick with the modded tt-02 and xv-01 for now personally. Great review

@@quietrc I fitted mine with a set of CVD's and a set of cc01 aluminium shocks. gives it crazy travel with some cutting in the plastics

The dust cover is annoying as hell.. I use a duct tape to cover the front section, and a foam to cover the back.. I'm not really worried about the heat because I only run 60A ESC with 10.5T motor and turn off boost from its settings.

I do appreciate how neat and tidy it makes everything look, but I am dubious as to how well it works vs. nothing.
