EP03: Pune to Hyderabad by car I Pune Trip I June 2024

Embark on an epic road trip narrative as we take you through the scenic journey from Pune to Hyderabad by car. Our day started early at 7:30 AM, departing from the cozy confines of Hotel IBIS Pune Hinjewadi, setting the stage for an exhilarating voyage ahead. Covering a vast expanse of terrain, we navigated through the Pune-Sholapur-Naldurg-Omerga-Humanabad-Zaheerabad-Sadashivpet-Sangareddy-Patancheru route, ultimately arriving in the vibrant city of Hyderabad by 6 PM.
Anticipating the morning rush, we strategically bypassed breakfast, opting instead for a cup of locally brewed jaggery tea, known affectionately as gudcha tea, to kickstart our day. The flavorsome brew invigorated our spirits as we delved into the open road, greeted by a panorama of sights unrivaled. Our first notable pause was at the majestic Uggani Dam, a sight to behold and a testament to nature's grandeur.
The midday sun beckoned us to a local Maharashtrian eatery, where we relished a traditional feast of Mutton Bhakri and Fish Bhakri, savoring the authentic flavors of the region. Energized and ready to resume our adventure, we pushed forward, encountering the historical marvels of Naldurg Dam and fort, their ancient allure adding a mystical touch to our expedition.
A serendipitous stop at Hotel Sudharshan Udupi near Umerga introduced us to the delectable Rava Kesari, a local specialty that piqued our curiosity (even though it was unfortunately out of stock), along with packaged Urja Shrikhand, an acquired taste that didn't quite align with our palates.
Crossing borders into Karnataka, we found ourselves bewitched by the idyllic landscapes that unfolded before us, each mile unveiling a new vista to behold. Refueling our vehicle with the most pocket-friendly diesel on the route, we continued our homeward journey, each passing mile a testament to the beauty of the road less traveled.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, we found ourselves back in the comforts of home, our hearts brimming with the memories of a day well spent and a journey etched in the annals of our adventures.
