What i did with the sullage hose was to cut in half and use Cam Locks and join when required as i found that using one full length water wound drain away slowly
@StaycationOz3 жыл бұрын
We have a couple of different size hoses, mainly using the shorter one unless we need something a bit longer. We do also have hose connectors if we are really struggling.

Hey guys! I enjoy watching Ur travels!! Cont having a great time together! Love the teamwork ! I just realised u guys missed 2 capture ADMIRALS ARCH in Kangaroo Island! Or mayb I missed it in the clip. That was my highlight of KI. Was the campground windy?
@StaycationOz2 жыл бұрын
You must of missed it! We definitely visited Admirals Arch, it was brilliant!! The campground wasn’t windy at all 👌

Catching up on your travels which are great. Why did you decide to not take the caravan to KI?
@StaycationOz Жыл бұрын
Hey Kerry. A couple of reasons - the caravan would have been expensive to transport across, and for only a few nights, we figured it would just be easier to take the tent and maybe try camp in some spots that we wouldn’t have been able to with a 21ft van. It is definitely doable though and we saw plenty of caravans over there ☺️

Great video. Nice to see some wildlife coming back to Kangaroo Island.

Thanks Scott, we thought the same, while you can still very much see the impact of the fires across the island, there is lots of re growth and it's very slowly recovering!

We were meant to be in Australia now (pre covid ) - Hopefully we will get there in 2023 - 2024. Victor Harbour and Granite Island brought back memories of our holiday there in 2006 I have become an avid follower of your trip and amazing videos which are full of great information. Cheers 👍🏻

Thanks for following our trip, where are you at the moment then? COVID has been awful for the tourism industry, unusually for us it’s one of the reasons we are travelling Australia at the moment! Thanks for watching and hopefully you can get back here soon!!

Hi. Great videos Looking forward to doing a similar lap next year. Why didn't you take the caravan across to Kangaroo Is? Was it the cost?
@StaycationOz3 жыл бұрын
Hi Greg. Spot on! As we were only going over there for 4 nights, we didn’t want to spend a fortune getting over. It’s pretty pricey on the KI ferry, and is based on vehicle length. It also seemed like quite a hassle for only a few nights - we knew we would be doing lots of driving and exploring over there. Turned out to be a great opportunity to test out the tent and our camping setup!! Very exciting that you’re doing a similar trip next year!! 🤩🤩🤩

Not sure if I missed it in the video, but where did you store your caravan when you went to the island and was it expensive to store it? Thanks
@StaycationOz Жыл бұрын
Hey Shani. We left it at Cape Jervis caravan park where we stayed the night before. It meant we could leave it plugged in for the fridge etc while we went over to Kangaroo Island. I think we paid around $30 a night for it. I think they also do cheaper caravan storage if you don’t need powered
@shanikirby769 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for that 😊

Hey guys it looks like your having fun. Anything you guys wish you had of done to the van from factory ? How is the van holding up?
@StaycationOz3 жыл бұрын
Hey Joel, we are having a blast at the moment, everyday is different and we are amazing how many beautiful places there are already!! Van is doing very well so far, a few minor issues which we'll have sorted in our first service in Adelaide. We are very glad we added an inverter, but probably wished we'd added a stone guard at the time and also maybe lithium batteries to save on some weight as we're close to our limit.
