We had it in our sights when we were on the road doing Central Australia in 2019, but decided we just couldn't budget the time or money to do it at the same time. I'm not sure I'd call this "Kangaroo Island like you've never seen it before". I only spent two nights on KI and this is *exactly* how I saw it: winery, bees, beaches, koalas, Remarkable Rocks, etc. We were staying with a local, but apparently he shared your idea of the must-see spots.

Hi Matt and Holly, well what a fantastic video this one was. I have wanted to go to Kangaroo Island for many years and the closest I have gotten is when I go to the wooden boat festivals in Goolwa every 2 years. As a suggestion, when I watch your videos and ones from others that I follow is there any way of adding a map or something to show us where you are? so we can follow along, as I presently pull up a tab on my opposite screen on my PC (which is where I watch YT video's on) which has a map of where say you are travelling around and try to follow on that. Keep up the fantastic work and it shows in the quality of your videos. I do hope to catch up one day with you both. Tim.

Fun fact, Kangaroo Island was the first SA settlement and of course us Sth Aussie's are the only State settled by non-convicts...lol...as New Sth Welshmen, you will love my state, less people so lots of places with no one around and loads of beaches you can drive on in the whole state, not to mention clear turquoise waters, especially in my home town of Robe...you'll love SA.

Thanks glad you enjoyed it! You can't camp anywhere it's all paid. When we were on the beach we drove on and stayed for a few hours then went and camped at a designated spot :)

@@OverlandTravellers Thanks for that. So you have to have a set amount of days booked and can't freelance . My problem is I like to play my travelling as it comes. I always travel light with 30 kilo backpack that I can carry on on flights. i really would like to go sometime . I am in the Northern Rivers so its quite a drive . Maybe I could fly to Adelaide and hire a campervan? I did that in Tasmania and had a ball. Safe travels.

Hi Lawrence I'm not the uploader obviously but as I see your question remains unanswered allow me to slip in your thread. A mate of mine has been making cinematic videos in OZ and from what I can tell DJI is the way to go, their base range around 800$ is quite bang for your buck especially with automatic control like fly home and their crazy stabilisation. There are cheaper options but I have not found one with a good reputation. Please make sure you read up on the many legal quirks of flying a drone in Australia. As for editing it really depends on your proficiency, have you been editing video before ? What operating system are you running ?
